Daily Diet Buddy wanted

Hi,

Being at my heaviest ever and feeling totally unfit, I have decided that now is the time to just get back in control. I'm on the second week of eating small portions of mainly vegetables, some lean proteins and small amounts of low cal carbs like ryvita. I also do at least twenty minutes running on my treadmill or half an hour brisk walking.

This should do the job - if I stick to it like glue. Problem is that I'm not talking about my regimen to anyone, so I'm at high risk of throwing in the towel, as I'm not accountable to anyone.

What would be nice is if I could pair up with someone doing a similar protocol to touch base daily and give an honest report, mutual support and hopefully a weight loss challenge.

I'm happy to be your diet buddy!!

I'm following the Slimming world diet as that's the one I've always been able too follow but not going to a group I think I am also at risk of throwing in the towel! I'm also doing running 2 nights a week (never done it before) and 100 sit ups every 3 days - just to try and tone as I go lol!

How are you getting on today? I'm on day 3 at the moment and its sit up day today - then running tomorrow - I really need to do this to get in my perfect wedding dress and feel comfortable!! xx

I've been tempted to join SW for ages, but cant come clean in front of a whle group each week. Also, I know what I should eat and what not so their recipes wont be any use for me.

Today has been ok so far, I just did 35mins on my treadmill and for lunch i had a bowl of soup and some green salad. So that's ok doing. I did 'nick' about 6 chips from my daughter, which I shouldnt have. breakfast I had an omelette, 2 tomatoes and 4 ryvita. But my main challenge has always been the evening. Eating to help me wind down is not good and its where I lose control.

Hope you're on track today. What day is your weekly weigh in? How long you been doing SW?

I weigh myself on a Monday evening, whens your weigh in day? I've only recently moved out so I go over my parents house as I don't have any scales lol!! How long you been doing this diet? I've done Slimming World before and I really get on with it but I restarted on Monday so today is day number 4 for me :) still been an angel so I'm really positive this time - my main thing will be the weekends! My partner works late and is a really FUSSY eater so I need to make sure when I cook his food (pizza, chips etc) I need to make sure I have a ready made fruit salad etc in the fridge! lol.

Tonight is the night I go jogging for the first time so I'll let you know how that goes! I'll probably ache in places I didn't know existed :(

I'm just looking at the bigger picture!! lol xx
 
Been on the road all day yesterday.
Was starved when i got back, only packed some veggies and a couple of fruits so was famished and attacked 2 cupcakes that had just come out of the oven. It was after 10pm so had some soup and lasagne from the microwave, then went to bed feeling stuffed and sick.
Today's been ok so far, had an early brekkie of ryvita and a coffee, some salad for lunch and I'm about to do 35 min run on my treadmill.

Cant wait till i feel fit and presentable enough to go running outdoors - its so much healthier!

oh gosh that's never good when you've got long days and no healthy options - must admit that's the only downside with the whole 'diet' thing - unless your happy to eat carrots theres not a lot of things you can 'grab and go' with without having lots of syns in the process! lol

I'm super happy with my first weigh in!! still got a way to go but I'm feeling so much different this time round xx
