0 cals on DD

Hey guys, I know this is a forum for JUDDDD (which I'm currently following) and not for IF but I'm thinking of doing proper fasting on my down days like just water and black tea and stuff but wondered what everyone's views were on it, would I be stopping "the swing" Or would it take away the health benefits or improve them? Tried looking on Internet but there are soooooo many different versions 5:2, 18:6, adf, made me go cross eyed! Has anyone tried not eating at all on their down days and has it effected your weight loss? Any help is appreciated! Thanks x

Ps what's a thread prefix? ?

Hi and welcome Juddd is an AF hun just slightly modified to make it sustainable for the majority. You can by all means completely fast on a DD as that is what the diet is based on, I can only speak from my experience so here we go. This is my 19th week on Juddd about 5 weeks in I found it easier not to eat on my DD s saying that I still had skimmed milk in my tea/coffee and was averaging about 100 cals. I did this for about 3 4 weeks, if anything my weight loss slowed, I read a bit on the net and found that other people following the plan had found the same the thing, when they increased their DD cals back to their allowance then their weight loss picked up again, this was true for me too. Now this AF/ juddd seems to be a very individual diet so if thats what you want to do then thats fine but I personally didn't see any benefits to not eating on my fast days. Some studies I have read have said that its the best way to do it but in reality thats not what I found. Maybe having snacks throughout the day keeps the metabolism ticking over ??? I really don't know. The only way you will find out is by trying it out and seeing how you feel x

Im curious about this too im on a dd today and might give it a go i dont want to if there's no point and will slow losses down tho :s

I did it for a while as I was eating later and later into the day so in the end found it easier not to bother, however it didn't increase my weight loss, started eating again on my DD s and my weight loss picked up again. So for me it wasn't benefitting me BUT it may be different for you, its all trial and error on this sort of diet, finding what works for you x But I would add only do it if it makes your DD easier, don't make them any harder than they need be as its not necessary x

I have felt like it, last night I almost didn't bother. The 300kcals I did have were just fuel at that point (chaotic new student enrollment day).

Try it and report on the week's weight loss. I'd be interested to hear how it went, even though I have no real plans to try it :)
