Moonwatcher's (Final) Diary

Well, here I am again. I seem to have had a diary just about everywhere, or moved one around from section to section. I think I may have popped in here briefly, but not with a diary before! I won't go for a long introduction, as it's all listed in previous diaries (!), but suffice to say I have come full circle back to where I started on Minis in September 2011, by returning to Slimming World. Despite trying plenty of other plans I have realised it was the best one for me, with the most consistent losses. I had written it off in favour of WW, until I sat down last week, and really looked hard at my stats and what I was eating. So SW it is, until the end I hope - can't afford to spend any more time chopping and changing.

I decided to start my diary here instead of in the SW section, as a 'mantra' to myself of 'I really mean it this time, I really mean it this time!' Will update my current stats in a mo, and then post my food diary for the last couple of days (started on a Monday... now *there's* a surprise :D ). I will mainly be on SW Extra Easy, maybe with an occasional Red or Green day thrown in when I need to.

Moonie!!!!!!! How fab to see you here hun!!!

Ladies, this is Moonwatcher, one of the nicest most supportive people on Minis - and Moonie you are in excellent company here love, this is a fab bunch! :) I tend to post here most of all now, so you will hear all my news :D

How have you been? I hear you on the chopping and changing approach to food, I've been exactly the same - but have settled back in calorie counting and feel much happier with the decision.

Sxxx

Awwww Susie, what a lovely welcome, thank-you! :bighug:

I'm just the same - feeling happier to have finally settled on a plan, and stop all the faffing about! I've been reading, but not posting on Minis for a while, while I kicked my butt into gear and got started again. Looking forward to meeting some new peeps, and catching up with some old friends. Did I see on another post that you are off to NZ?

Hi Deb and thanks for the welcome. Good that your Dr is taking notice, but must be frustrating at the moment. Sure you'll be there soon enough though! I see your stats show you on Slimming World, how are you finding it?

Ah, a sad time, but in its own way a new beginning. Hugs to you. I'm sure you'll shed a few tears, but also have a few giggles at the memories. When the music started up to bring my brother's coffin into the crematorium in January, there was a collective gasp, and then smiles all round. Mind you, it was Queen's 'Another One Bites the Dust,' and everyone there knew he would have loved the humour, especially as we had lost another brother about two years previously! I like to think they were joining in the smiles!

Hi Moonwatcher, good luck with your weight loss. Your menus look fab :D
I think I might head over to the slimming world section for some food ideas.

Hello and welcome Moonwatcher! It's definitely a good choice to have a diary in this section, they're a great bunch. Good luck. :) xx

Hi Butterfly and Tracy and thanks for dropping in. It certainly seems very welcoming here. I am just about to update for today's food and then will have a browse for some diaries here to sub to.

Was up late this morning, so had Brunch: Cajun Spiced Veg Omelette with Firemite sauce and HP sauce, natural yogurt with a pear and some brown sugar

Dinner: Caribbean Fish and Butterbean Stew with oven baked 'chips' and broccoli, half a melon and a pear

Drinks: water with lemon slices, lots of earl grey teas

Snack (any minute now) Refresher lolly (6 for a quid, from Tescos - what a bargain!) - I think these are 3 syns

Total syns for the day: 8 (poss bit more if lolly is more than 3)
HEB = Olive oil, HEA = s/s milk in teas

Pretty good actually.. i am a diet cola drinker so it works well. lol

I have decided that WI day will be Friday, so will be weighing tomorrow. I know it will only be a five day 'week' but I'll take whatever I can get, and hopefully as it is a first week I'll show some loss anyway.

I weigh Fridays too, it's nice to weigh before the weekend because I often have a meal with my family on Saturday so at least if I have anything 'naughty' I can be good for the rest of the week then!

I am drooling over your food menus! Where do you get your recipes from?
The Cajun spiced veg omelette and the homemade red cabbage coleslaw sound soooo yum.
