Fresh start for me trying to be binge free.

    Hi everyone
I have been reading all the threads on wemitts for a long time, actually feel like I know everyone already
This is my first time posting and making a diary but today I'm having a fresh start and trying new things.
So about me, I'm 28 and live with my bf and 18 month old little boy. I have struggled with my weight for the last 15 years and I feel like I've wasted the best years of my life being on some sort of diet/binge cycle.
I've been to the doctor and he has referred me to a dietician but god knows how long il be waiting for that and also I know what I need to eat and don't eat yet it's never that easy is it.
I've mainly done sw over the years as I find it does work and I enjoy the food, only I never limit myself and then I binge eat. So today I'm trying slim fast to give me a kick up the bum and hopefully because it is set portions il not be able to overeat then binge all night.
I have 7+ stone to lose but my main mission is to not be obsessed with food and just be normal like everyone else!
I really like the wemitts threads I feel like we're all in the same boat and the support is fantastic.
So day 1 today.. Wish me luck!
    Thanks for reading my essay

So iv just had my breakfast of a banana ready made shake. Tastes like my sons medicine but I can cope with that. I think I was expecting it to taste like a McDs ice cold banana milk shake lol. If only!

So I'm trying to spread out my meals and snacks as far apart as I can as it's a long day without food and I'm up at half 6 every morning with lo. 10am shake, 12pm snack, 2pm shake, 4pm snack and then tea whenever and snack for afters. Seems easy (yeah right)
Had my sf snack of cheddar bites. Nice but my packet seemed to empty to quickly :-/ lol

Managed to hang on for my tea, had slow cooker chili that I froze a few days ago, made the slimming world way so it's healthy. Had a small bit of rice and a bag of steamed veg. Are every last bit and really enjoyed it. I'm going to have a pot of 10 cal jelly and save my last snack for tonight as I'm going swimming and il be starving afterwards.
I find it to be a long day when the food is so limited but I also like it and feel in control which makes a change for me.
Drinking loads of squash and had a few coffees with a splash of milk.
First day so far so good x

Well I had my tea and planned on having my snack after swimming, but my luck the baths was closed tonight so I ate my snack on the way home, I am actually starving tho n have just caved and ate a bag of pops. Only 84 cals and I'm going to bed before I eat the contents of my fridge. I hope this gets easier! X

It does take time to get in the mind frame and to stop thinking about food as much... though tbh you don't really stop but when you see the results and you get into the swing it does get easier.

Good luck lovely we're always here to help

Well I'm hoping that the longer I stick at it the easier it gets, although it is really hard when all u can think about is food!
Iv done Sw for a long time on and off but u don't realise how much freedom you have on that plan.
But I'm carrying on with this as sw obviously wasn't right at the time.
Are you doing cal counting? And how are you getting on with it x

It does, I promise. This is my 150'th day and it does get so much easier. It becomes second nature. It's just at the moment it's all new and all consuming - you're used to eating what you want when you want and now you're having shakes or really having to think about what you eat. It's funny.

If SW doesn't work for you, there's all manner of things that will love - it's just a case of looking round

I am calorie counting yep, I love it! I've not known anything work for me like this does. Nothing is restricted as you simply factor it in It's been exactly 150 days and I've lost exactly 4 and a half stone and 24 and a half inches in that time. I'm most happy that 9 and a half of those inches are off my boobs(!). I use myfitnesspal and put all my details in. It gave me a calorie amount and you need to eat as close to it as possible, not less because it doesn't leave you a lot of room to be able to reduce your calories as you lose weight.

    Hope that helps hun
