This is taken from marksdailyapple forum.

    Atkins has four phases:
    1. Induction: you drastically reduce carbs. Suggested range is net carbs of under 20grams per day. A net carb is calculated by taking total carbs grams and subracting fiber grams. It's recommended that you only stay on this phase for two weeks. Phase one really limits produce choices to leafy greens and other similar low carb choices. No fruit is allowed. No caffeine is allowed (the idea is that caffeine inhibits your body's ability to enter ketosis).
    2. Ongoing Weight Loss: You slowly increase carbs, by about 5 grams per week. You add in more of what are considered foundation vegetables, can resume caffeine intake, and can introduce non-starchy fruits.
    3. Premaintenance: Your weight loss will slow down. Once you've reached your set point, or the point where your body stops shedding weight, that is considered your carb threshhold. At this point you should be about 10 pounds from goal weight.
    4. Maintenance. You maintain eating according to your carb threshhold to maintain the weight loss.

Atkins doesn't place much emphasis on exercise, sunlight, or levels of toxins in food. You won't get much information about benefits of grass fed protein, free range eggs, raw dairy, or direct sunlight from Atkins. Primal is a lot more wholistic, and not necessarily focused on being low carb, although you can make it low carb if you want.
If you want it enough you won't keep finding excuses to not do it.

What fits your schedule better -- Exercising 1 hour a day or being f** 24 hours a day?”

Hard work and dedication pays off.No time for excuses if you really want to loss the weight.

You are probably best checking out marksdailyapple . I started on Atkins but found it's still easy to eat junk, primal makes you think a bit more about food

For the amount of times I have it I find making my own not worth it so I just use stock cubes or granules.

You can buy cartons of coconut or almond milk.

I think it's up to the individual if they want to drink it.I go to Costa once a week and enjoy a latte.I don't beat myself up if I eat something that isn't Primal.

    Just remember 80/20 rule.

Are you doing full Paleo or Primal?

Full paleo or primal - not sure of the difference .

Also start a new job tomorrow . So no microwave , wondered what I could take in a lunch box that doesn't make me look " strange" with all the others with their sandwiches !

Is there a suitable bread !

Paleo- no dairy and is very strict where as Primal- you can eat dairy and have the odd portion of white potato or rice.

Whats wrong with a salad or take a food flask with home made soup in.

Last week I ate some rice cakes with my salad at lunch and have lost 2lbs. I eat them occasionally. Some people would say rice cakes are not allowed but as I follow Primal then I can be naughty 20% of the time.

Do you have time for baking as you could bake your own crackers or bread.Lots of recipes on internet for those things.

    Hi
Well my original plan didn't work - chopped and changed diets - last week joined Nuffield gym and had a health and nutritional consultant actually said paleo / primal is the best - so I'm back .

Have a strange shift work 6am till 1pm

    Intended plans are
B eggs or smoothie with pineapple apple 1/4 avacardo lime ginger spinach cucumber and celery

L chicken fish or egg salad with possible new or sweet potatoe

D meat or fish with veg - pointless cooked butter or oil - maybe tinned tomatoe sauce or creamy sauce .

    Snacks fruit or nuts

Drinks in morning one cup tea with milk !
    Declare coffee green tea

Does this look ok ( I'm doing a food diary for the gym also - so depending on fitness may add a protein shake )

    Hi livvy

Looks good to me but I'm only on day one of this way of eating.
I just posted up my foods on my diary too.
I think as long as the foods are as near to natural then you will be fine. X

Thanks Lisa I kind of know what to eat - but worry about the quantities and making sure that the good isn't plain

    Good luck x
