    Looking for Shake that Weight buddy

    I discovered STW this morning and was hoping to find a success story or 2 before taking the plunge and buying my first supply.

    I went from 20.2 to 11.8 with LighterLife 2 years ago but it is very expensive and my LL counsellor has now retired.

    I have spent the last 5 weeks and a lot of money doing SW to lose just 3lbs. I was 100% with it and have just lost the will to go to the group.

    I know that VLCD's work for me and I now realise that it's the only way forward for me.

    I did the Cambridge Diet in the new year and lost 15lb in about 7 weeks but I found I was hungry which is something I never experienced in my 10 months on LL.

    I have a few days supply of CD packs and I am going to use them now to get back into the VLCD zone and hope that someone can give me the lowdown on STW before I go ahead and order.

    I am now on my 2nd day with the Cambridge packs and have ordered 3 weeks of supplies from STW. I opted for porridge for breakfast, I can handle that with no trouble. For lunch I have ordered shakes in choc, cafe latte and caramel flavours. At both Lighterlife and Cambridge they sold mousse mix to make the shakes into a blancmange and I used to love that. They don't have that option at STW yet so I'm not sure how I'm going to get on with the shakes. For tea I'm going to have a go at all of the soup options to see which I like best and I'm going to have a bar as a treat in the evening. I've ordered milk and dark chocolate and the maple fruit and almond. LL and CD also did water flavourings that I will miss. What does everyone have to drink? I can't handle tea or coffee without milk and not sure I will be happy just drinking water.

    How long have you been on stw Beth? I weighed exactly the same as you when I started on LL. It was amazing watching the scales go down every week. Make sure you take a photo of yourself every month, it's great to look back and see the difference in yourself.

    Yeah it feel gonna be a long journey, but it will get shorter! Have taken photos ?. I am on day 4 today! I only have choc and strawberry shakes mixed with ice cubes in blender. I did CD and the soups I didn't like, urghhh but on STW it's all about the carbs, so I do have the option to have a protein meal which is good, but at moment sticking to just shakes and will slowly introduce back like on SS on CD!     Hi Beth, I meant a start weight photo. I had my hubby take a photo every 4 or 5 weeks and I could compare and actually see the difference. It meant a lot to me.
    On LL it took me 10 months to get from 20.2 to 11.8 but it won't take you as long if you are able to exercise. I'm disabled so I can't exercise.
    Don't you get bored with just chocolate and strawberry shakes? I used to love having porridge in the morning on LL and CD and am really chuffed that they do porridge on STW. The bars are also a lifesaver for me. I feel like I'm having a treat when I have a chocolatey chewy bar. I always have one in the evening as my final meal of the day.
    You sound very committed to your weight loss programme. When you jump on the scales and have lost several pounds it will boost you to continue. I never had a week with no weight loss and I was on LL over Christmas.

    How did your first day go Cola? Try to keep drinking plenty of water. The water flushes away the fat that you've used. If you don't drink water you hang on to the fat and it just gets re absorbed into your system. Gross eh lol x

    Sorry I meant to put have taken photos! But put question mark by mistake lol! Doh! Yeah have taken them and done one in the bath clothed as it's a tight fit at the moment!! At the moment I love both shakes and I'm fine with that, I did look at the bars.... What's the best one? Do they taste nice? Maybe like a Mars bar or snickers haha only kidding!
