    sertraline and weight loss

Hi I just wondered if anyone else is taking sertraline whilst doing s&s, I have only been in it for two months as my doctor thought it might help control my binge eating but I'm sure it's slowing my weight losses, has anyone else had this??

    Morning Emily J,

Sertraline is used to make you feel relaxed as you know. It should however, not make you gain weight. It will give you a dry mouth so please drink plenty of water.

I am on it as well (since last July) and I am a little frustrated by my losses. I am a slow loser, and frankly it annoys me! Obviously disregarding my first week as it is a false loss, I don't consider the other weeks to be as good as others on here.

    xx

If you look at your losses those who are on Sertraline you have amazing losses. If you were on the likes of an eating calorie counting diet you would have been lucky to lose 1lb a week. Try not to worry the aim of the diet is to lose a stone a month and so far you are both well on target for that.
