right, ive finally decided to put my food diary on Minimins :D ive kept a food diary myself since i started SW about a month ago using an Excel spreadsheet but never got round to actually making a thread on here for it! feel free to make comments and suggestions :) here goes.....

tuesday 15th june 2010 - a very rare green day!

brekkie - weetabix, milk, banana & blueberries (HexA&B)

lunch - low fat supernoodles chicken and herb, with melon and apple for pudding

dinner - chicken cacciatore, cabbage, mushrooms and rice (HexB for oil) 7syns for wine in the sauce

total syns - 7

If you've used your 2nd hexb on oil you'll have to count your chicken as syns. You could do an extra easy day and syn the oil, heb weetabix and chicken is then free.

Hope that helps. Keep up the good work.

thanks for pointing that out :) to be honest i struggle with red and green days so i do tend to stick to EE for the very reason that i tend to get quite confused :p

what do you reckon syn value is on 4 bite size chunks of chicken breast? would i be better off synning the oil? arggghh deffo sticking to EE in future!

brekkie - grapefruit

lunch - cheesy omelette and salad (HexA) muller light

Hi Emma-Louise, I've been keeping a food diary on here for a couple of weeks and find it really helpful - I'm less likely to eat something when I have to confess it to the whole internet! I am a green day girl though, can live without meat to be honest, especially when I can have quorn.

Good luck and keep it up - 10lb lost is amazing already!! :) :)

That's what i am trying to do - Have the power not to eat something because i will have to tell the whole internet. Started a diary before but only lasted two days. Started again today and i am SOOOOOO determined.

Emma-Louise why did you use 10 syns for your mince? Did you not get extra lean mince? Would have saved you 10 syns hun on extra easy xxx

ahhhh the mince!! im home from uni for the summer, and my mum who "always buys lean mince" bought normal disgusting fatty mince before i could stop her!! Allie put it through the syns calculator for me and i was horrified but i didnt have time to go and sneakily buy some extra lean :p i drained as much of the fat off as i could but i just wanted to be safe so i thought 10 syns should be enough :( i tend to stay under my syns most days anyway so it should be fine :cross:..... hopefully!

thursday 17th june - extra easy :D

brekkie: weetabix, banana and blueberries (HexB and 1/2HexA)

lunch: low fat super noodles and melon

dinner: seafoody fishy pasta in a creamy sauce (1/2HexA) and a tiny piece of garlic bread :( 12 syns

snacks: grapefruit and an apple

pasta was made by mum but i watched to make sure she didnt put too much naughty stuff in it :p uh oh she is getting annoyed already...

total syns - 12

Why don't YOU do take over the cooking for your mum?! Then you can control exactly what's in it and it's also helping her out. Seeing as she's letting a grubby student back in her house and I bet you're not paying rent ;) :)

trust me i've tried!! she lets me cook a few days a week, but nothing that she thinks is too "complicated" for me :rolleyes: mothers ey!! my mum and my stepdad are both real food snobs aswell so they object to using frylight blah blah blahhh :( ive been trying to have a syn free day with plenty of superfree for brekkie and lunch and then just going along with whatever they want to have for tea, because to be honest its not worth the arguments :(

and im not grubby!! i shower at least once a week ;) :8855:

friday 18th june - green day (i think) :D

brekkie: weetabix with banana and blueberries (HexA + HexB)

lunch: cheesy omelette (HexA2) and BBQ beans - 2 syns for BBQ sauce

struggling to get my superfree in today :( i wont have time for tea as i need to start getting ready to go out tonight now (3:17pm) as i need to stop off at my grandmas and matalan on the way and i have to be there for 6 and still need to sort my car insurance out oh goodie  anyway, going to Digital in Newcastle tonight for Goodgreef :D:D:D so will no doubt be having PLENTY to drink, gonna try and stick to vodka and diet coke, im gonna allow 20 syns for now, but it will no doubt end up being more.... cross that bridge in the morning! if i can remember....

total syns - 22

I beleive that the heniz means beanz bbq beans are free? if you can find them its a little save of syns

Yes the BBQ beans and free and so are the sweet chilli ones which are really nice in a five bean chilli!! (Heinz make only).

thanks bubbalicious! ill give that a go! what kind of other beans do you put in a five bean chilli? usually if i do a beef chilli i just put baked beans in cos im not really fussed on kidney beans but i guess i best broaden my bean horizons a little bit and try new things :) xx

right well yesterdays night out went pretty much as planned.... managed to stick to my syns allowance i set myself for my vodka so pretty happy about that :) resisted takeaway on the way home, even though 4 people on the minibus had takeaways! i had to resist a chinese, two kebabs and a parmo = very proud of myself!! :D

ok so today has been a funny day, VERY hungover :( i havent even thought about what ive been eating properly with regards to red/green/ee so im just trying to figure it out now....

saturday 19th june - EE

brunch: nectarine (all i could stomach)

dinner: we had a bbq, 3 sainsburys less than 3% fat sausages (1/2 syn each), two chicken wings with skin removed, 1 mini minty lamb kebab (7 syns?) and two veggie skewers nom nom nom, jacket potato with 1tsp of el mayo (1/2 syn) and HexA cheese

its late and i had no sleep at all last night so my counting/syn guesstimation skills may be a little bit off  but i make that 9 syns?? and i missed my HexB.... oops :(

sunday 20th june - another day of EE... what a surprise :p

brekkie: apple and banana in muller light

lunch: left over BBQ chicken from yesterday with a bit of pasta salad - 1syn for light mayo

dinner: amazingly gorgeous tasting chicken and chorizo lasagne :D:D nom nom nom!! 7 syns, but well worth it :p and cheese on top and milk from the sauce for my HexA

snacks: 2 nectarines and 2 satsumas

total syns: 8

just realised i havent had my HexB today so off i go to grab a kelloggs fibre plus bar!

i had a cheeky step on the scales this morning and now wish i hadnt :( i know i havent been as good as i could have been these past few days but i really am praying for another loss this week! found some piccies this morning from a holiday in 2005 and cant believe how slim i look then compared to how big i felt at the time :( might have to have a rethink about my target weight as i now quite like the way i looked at a size 12/14 will have to have a think xx
