Slimming World Food Diary, pregnant & due 15th Jan, hoping this will help motivate me

Breakfast- 2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk (healthy extra a & b) wih banana & strawberries

Morning snack- Small slice of 1/2 syn cake at home & fruit salad in cafe with a decaf cup of tea (managed to resist the danish)

Lunch- Huge ham & new potato salad, mixed leaves, peppers, radishes, beetroot, cucumber, red onion, cherry tomatoes, grated carrot, grapes, dressed with balsamic vinegar & light salad cream on the side- 1 syn

Dinner- I'm gonna try the sticky 5 spice gammon from the exra easy meals in minutes book but I'm serving it with vegetable egg fried rice packed full of superfree, hope its nice!! 1 syn

Evening snack- Maybe a free yoghurt. I have my other healthy extras as pregnant so may use them for cheese on toast or more weetabix if I'm peckish. The rest of my 1/2 syn cake which will be about 1/8 of a syn and if I get a chocolate craving there's always a 2 syn options hot choc if need be!

I had an extremely naughty couple of meals out with about a billion syns so trying to pull it back a bit!

2.25-4.25 depending on whether on whether I have the hot choc, todays a good day...well if I stick to it :-)

hope you don't mind the mini constructive criticisms...

there's no such thing as 1/4 syn only halfs and whole ones- so if you have 1/4 syns worth it would have to be rounded up to half syn

i would advise you to have the minimum of 5 syns a day- espec since you're pregnant- i'm sure the extra syns are good- so maybe have a little something like a hifi light or alpen light bar?

other than that looks like a great diary
    Please check out my blog!!!

I made the cake for the first time yesterday, I thought it was great for 1/2 syn my slimming world consultant posted the recipe-

    ‎1/2 syn cake
    1. Whisk 4 egg whites in a bowl until they reach soft peak stage
    2. In another bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks, 4tbspn sweetener, half tub a quark, 1 level tsp baking powder (1/2 syn), 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Then whisk in half the egg whites.
    3. Fold in the remaining egg whites with a metal spoon
    4. Tip the mixture into 2 sandwich tin, (use frylight) or on a tray if you're doing swiss roll style)
    5. Bake in oven (180c) until well risen and brown (approx.15 - 20mins). It will sink when you first take it out, dont worry.
    6. To make topping/filling- mix other half of quark tub with 1 tbspn of sweetener, as well as 1/2 tsp vanilla 2tbsn fromaige frais.
    7. Spread 1/2 of quark mixture on one of the cakes and put your fresh fruit on top ,then place the second cake on top and repeat with quark mixture and fruit, eat and enjoy.if you want to make it bigger repeat it all over again and it makes a 1 syn cake xx

No worries about the criticism, I'm still learning xx

Update- I saw some chicken tikka slices in co-op reduced to 60p, I had no phone signal to check the syns on my ap but I'd had similar ones that were really low syn & knew I had plenty so bought the pack and had it in a toasty using 2 small slices of wholemeal bread & cathedral city lighter to use up my other 2 healthy extras with some lettuce and extra light mayo 1/2 syn followed by some grapes as my afternoon snack to keep me going until dinner. When I finally checked the syns it turns out its 6 syns for my 100g, a lot more than I expected but still within my allowance! I also had 1 mikado, 1/2 syn

I've just eaten the 5 spice gammon which I wasn't impressed at but the veg rice was lovely. Just gonna have the rest of my 1/2 syn cake later.

So total syns now 9 still a good day :-)

Co-op chicken tikka chunks are free in my 2012 food directory book - did you set chicken as a free food when you calculated it? And looking at red/EE not green?

    Brekkie - weetabix & banana (HEA&B)

Snack - SW quiche, grapes & satsuma, also had a quarter or Freddies chicken & stuffing sarnie gonna count 5 syns & that can be my other (HEB)

Was out and about today, took Freddie to a softplay place with my friends and our little ones and then to the library for nursery rhymes and saw another friend so went for a milky cup of tea, plus a small bite of Freddies cookie for quality control purposes obvs (1 syn) but never had any lunch, strange how sometimes I can't stop eating (at work) yet today I was fine.

Dinner - was HUGE!!!! Made a chicken & veg strogonoff with rice based on a recipe from a SW mag, used some garlic & herb philli (HEA)

I am seriously stuffed but if I get hungry later I'll have a cup of SW leek & potato soup as I need to use up what's in the fridge and a slice of my 1/2 syn cake which again wont count as syns.

I've guessed todays syns as 6, could be less but deffo within my limit & I feel like I'm going to explode that was one big plate of strogonoff!!!!!!xx
