My Food Diary For 2014

Hello, I'm a student at university trying to eat healthily. I am following the Extra Easy plan and cook for myself, so I don't have to worry about unhealthy canteen food. I am going to write down everything I eat here :)
 
Saturday 26th April 2014

Breakfast: 1 slice wholemeal toast (HEXB), 2 fried eggs (F).

Snack: 1 apple (SF)

Lunch: 1 red onion bagel (11 syns), 1 slice ham (F), 1 stick celery (SF).

Snack: 1 satsuma (SF)

Dinner: Chilli non carne - tinned tomatoes (SF), kidney beans in chilli sauce (F), carrot (SF), celery (SF), onion (SF), sweetcorn (F), brown rice (F), 30g cheddar cheese (HEXA).

Snack: 3 squares Galaxy chocolate (4 syns)

Total Syns:
15
I bought all these bagels without realising they were so high in syns, but I can't waste them so am going to have to plough through them before I can start eating lower syn lunches!
 
Sunday 27th April 2014

Breakfast: 1 slice wholemeal toast (HEXB), 0.5 tbsp peanut butter (2.25 syns), 0.5 tbsp Nutella (2 syns)

Lunch: Jacket potato (F), chilli non carne (F + SF), green beans (SF)

Dinner: ‘Carbonara pasta’ – pasta (F), tuna (F), egg (F), broccoli (SF), 30g cheese (HEXA)

Snacks: Satsumas (SF), Apple (F), 2 squares Galaxy (2.4 syns), 1 Milka Bunny (5 syns)

Total Syns: 11.65
 
Monday 28th April 2014

Breakfast: 1 slice wholemeal toast (HEXB), 2 fried eggs (F)

Lunch: 1 red onion bagel (11 syns), 1 slice chicken (F), 2 satsumas (SF)

Dinner: Chilli non carne (F + SF), brown rice (F), 30g cheese (HEXA)

Snacks: Apple (SF), green beans (SF), 3 squares Galaxy (3.6)

Total Syns: 14.6
 
Tuesday 29[SUP]th[/SUP] April 2014

Breakfast: 60g wholemeal toast (HEXB), 0.5 tsbp Nutella (2 syns), 0.5 tbsp peanut butter (2.25 syns).

Lunch: Omelette (chicken (F), eggs (F), 30g cheese (HEXA)), sugar snap peas (SF).

Dinner: Risotto (tuna (F), Arborio rice (F), onion (SF), broccoli (SF), vegetable stock (F), lemon juice (F)).

Snacks: Satsumas (SF), apples (SF), 3 squares Galaxy (3.6 syns), 1 Milka bunny (5 syns).

Total syns: 12.85
 
Wednesday 30[SUP]th[/SUP] April 2014

Breakfast: 60g wholemeal toast (HEXB), 0.5 tbsp Nutella (2 syns), 0.5 tbsp peanut butter (2.25 syns).

Lunch: Tuna fishcakes (tuna (F), mashed potato (F), onion (SF), coriander, chilli, garlic), sugar snap peas (SF).

Dinner: Pasta Arrabiata (pasta (F), pepper (SF), carrot (SF), onion (SF), celery (SF), chilli, garlic, basil), 30g cheese (HEXA).

Snacks: Apple (SF), 2 satsumas (SF), 3 squares Galaxy (3.6 syns), 1 Milka bunny (5 syns)

Total Syns: 12.85

The tuna fishcakes I made up on the spur of the moment out of things in my cupboard and they were delicious! Would definitely recommend them. Also, I weighed in this morning and I have gone back to target! Wooo! Although it is my birthday next week so a lot of food and alcohol will end up being consumed... I am just going to enjoy it and then get back to Food Optimising as soon as I can.
 
Thursday 1[SUP]st[/SUP] May 2014
