    syn free custard

    Hi, can anyone tell me if custard and baked egg custards made for milk from allowance, egg and sweetener would be syn free, there doesn't seem to be any syn free recipes out there for these and i just fancy custard.

    I'm sure they would be, get a vanilla pod to make it more vanillary . Eggs, skimmed milk, sweetner and vanilla pod, all free or HE A. x

    syn free baked egg custard
    Some might already know this but i made this the other night and it was delicious
    5oz vlf fomage frais
    2 eggs beaten
    a few drops of vanilla essence
    grated nutmeg to taste
    2 tbls low calorie sweetener
    mix all together and put into ramekin dishes sprayed with spray light
    Bake in ban marie for 20/25 mins on gas mark 4 (sorry dont know for electric)

    It's a tin with water in the bottom that you use in the oven to give moisture to whatever you're cooking and prevent it from burning. Basically, you make up the custard mix in an oven proof dish, put it in a larger heatproof container (such as a roasting tin) and half-fill the larger container with water.
