Dilemma - what do I do??
Hubby has been out of the country on business all week and due to return tonight. He wants to buy takeout curry and a bottle of wine on the way home.
Now he knows normally, I would say "no way jose" to both. But when he went I said I would try and save some syns so we could have a treat. The dilemma is this. I have been good, but I got on the scales this morning and I've just crept into the 10's (which I have not been in for 15 years!!). Do I go with the curry and wine? Do I tell him I can't have the curry or wine and stick with the usual Chinese? Is there something sensible I could have from the Indian takeaway??? (I love, love, love Korma - which is about a billion syns)
Dear lord, what do I do?????
If he really wants the curry, why not try to make careful choices? Plain rice and chicken tikka (not masala - just the tikka)? Make your own yoghurt dip ready to go with it with Fat free yoghurt and a tsp of mint sauce mixed in. You can also chop tomato, cucumber and coriander into it if you like.
Add fizzy water (or lemonade) to the wine to make it last longer?
And obviously, just stick to free (or super free) foods all day before.
Thank you for your reply. Boiled rice I can live with. The wine I can pass on anyway. Chicken Tikka could be an option then :D. I wonder if there are any other SW friendly options from the curry house? I can't eat anything hot
Could you have something like a saag-aloo? With plain boiled rice? Saag-aloo is all spinach
and potato based. Most Indians will do it as a side dish but I like it as a main. A full sized 320g portion is 11 syns so with plain boiled rice and an alternative drink it could be a virtuous option :)
That sounds interesting...:hmm:
My fave Indian meal is chicken dhansak can't remember syns but think it's around 6 ish. I think it's a medium hot dish though, not sure if that's too hot
