Puddings syn free baked egg custard

Some might already know this but i made this the other night and it was delicious
5oz vlf fomage frais
2 eggs beaten
a few drops of vanilla essence
grated nutmeg to taste
2 tbls low calorie sweetener
mix all together and put into ramekin dishes sprayed with spray light
Bake in ban marie for 20/25 mins on gas mark 4 (sorry dont know for electric)
 
oooo I love baked egg custard, but usually have to have it and use a Hea, will try this tomorrow.

I am presuming its plain fromage frais and not flavoured, might be a stupid question that, but only ever bought kids fromage frais :eek:

yes, it is the plain one.
I get tesco healthy choices fomage frais in a largish pot.

It's like a posh roasting/deep baking tray which you half fill with boiling water, so the ramekins are sitting in a 'bath'! I use my roasting tin. Ooh and a top tip to stop the bottoms burning (!) is to put a tea towel in the bottom of the tray (Thanks 'Come Dine With Me'!)

How many people is this recipe meant to serve? Just so I don't eat them all! :D
 
Thanks Esme I thought it would be that but didn't want to say that in case I looked like a right numpty! Def going to try this think the family would like it too.

Dont know if this helps at all with the oven thing!? Id like to cook it in my fan oven will this be 180 i assume?

Woops caused a bit of bother not knowing the eclectic equivalent to gas mark 4 oh well we all know it now!!!!!. thanks guys
it serves 2 or me being a piggy ate it all

I made this yesterday, I think I overcooked it slightly (my oven is a bit dodgy) but it was really yummy and the OH has demanded that I make it on a regular basis!

I had mine with some raspberries and chopped banana on the side - gorgeous!
