Making vegetables tasty?!

Hey all, my partner and I are both on Slimming World in prep for our civil partnership next year!

We are doing okay but are both getting a little fed up of our superfree vegetables! Do you have any syn-free tips on how to make vegetables a little tastier?!

We have boiled, steamed, roasted and grilled them and are now bored of our usual dried herb mix!

Any suggestions would be so helpful!!!

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!

I discovered that a tsp of sweet chilli sauce and a splash of water when cooking mushrooms is lovely!
Schwartz spicy season-all is great on celeriac chips and roasted.
Add the SF into your dishes by grating carrots into Bolognese, chilli etc

Try Boulangere potatoes, slices of potato layered with slices of onion sprinkle each layer with salt, pepper and thyme and pour stock over pop in the oven. (Loads of recipes on net for quantities/timings).
When doing a roast pop in a pot with halved onion in stock with a bay leaf.
Carrots are divine as chips, so are fine green beans!

Chilli, ground cumin and ground coriander sprinkled over. I will never grow tired of this combination as I love cumin SO much and am a total chilli addict.

I like putting random things in with mashed potatoes too, helps get those super free in. E.g. finely chopped carrots, onions, leeks, green beans, anything really!

Lemon juice over green beans is another favourite. In fact I usually do green beans stir fried with red onion, garlic, chilli and when softened add a little bit of lemon juice and serve on the side. Lush. Wish I had some green beans tonight...

A tiny drizzle of maple syrup on carrots. 1 syn per teaspoon.
Make sauces - I love one made with a small tub creme fraiche or 0% fromage frais, teaspoon tomato paste, chilli, garlic.

I pretty much mix garlic granules into everything but thats just me! Always do fried mushrooms in garlic and friend onions for a lot of superfree situations. with brocolli, I always used a lot of salt and pepper while its boiling.

Mustard seeds is another good one
If youre not much of a fan of vegetable cooked why not try getting your superfree from raw? Make a free yoghurt dip or a spicy salsa and dip in carrots, cucumbers and so on :)
