    Spag bol!

My other half is partial to the jars of Dolmio when we have spag Bol! I'm making one tomorrow but want to make my own sauce and see if he notices! Has anyone got a lovely receipe for the best bolognese sauce please?

    Serves 4

    Ingredients

    1 Knorr “herb” stockpot
2 large onions, finely chopped (s) (sff)
    3 garlic cloves (sff)
    1tbsp dried oregano
    1tbsp dried basil
410g tin of chopped tomatoes (s) (sff)
    250g passata (s) (sff)
    2tbsp tomato purees (s) (sff)
    1tsp sweetener
    Seasoning

    Method

In a large pan sprayed with Fry Light, cook the onion & garlic until soft.
Add the tomatoes, passata, sweetener and the herbs. Place the stockpot on top of the mixture and allow to infuse.

I make my own tomato sauce as well for my bolognese. I usually brown my mince, onions and sometimes mushrooms off first and then add chopped tomatoes, let it cook for a while and add some garlic ( I don't use measurements just to my taste), Worcester sauce, salt and pepper and then I had a 400g tub of passata, let it simmer for about 30 minutes and it's ready. It smells so nice when it's cooking. Plus it's all free
