Team Slimpossible

Hiya Patsy!!! ;) Great to see you here!

Well just incase i'll do a little intro!

I'm Becs, just turned 30 and mummy to an 8 yr old girl and my son has just turned 3. We live with OH of 12 yrs, our crazy dalmatian and ginger cat. We moved to West Yorks in November last year and i've around 5 stone to lose). I am addicted to cheese and wine, love pizzas and indian and sweeets!

Todays planner so far is:

B - Banana, Grapes and Mullerlight, Green Tea with Cranberry

L - Wholemeal Pitta, Tuna, Cucumber and Light Mayo (2), tangerine, Walkers Rosemary and Onion Sunbites (6 syns) large glass of water

Dinner i have nooo idea so far - been and done a bit of a grocery shop, but planned to get meat from our village butchers and he's shut! I'll be asking him tomorrow who he blummin thinks he is closing the shop early ha ha! So now i've literally no idea, as nothing i can take out the freezer will defrost in time! So i'll update you all later! ;)

OMG OMG OMG OMG - Patsy i am soooo sorry!!!!!! Did you notice what i typed for your name!!!!!

Man alive - i'm supposed to be making friends ha ha! xxxx

I'd be looking down the tomatoey pasta route by now. Or maybe tuna pasta bake type stuff with a HE of your fave. Cheese.

Anyway I'm a lot older than you and single, no kids, no pets either cos I'm always at work so wouldn't be fair on them. I'm from central Scotland but work in Edinburgh so commute about a 50 mile round trip.

I've done SW once before quite successfully but then had a kidney transplant and steroids and being made to eat chocolate to keep my potassium levels up took their toll. The sudden access to lots of prevously barred foods was also more than I could handle. SO I'm back on the SW wagon. I want a different seat though as this one is a bit precarious and I keep falling off. Think I might be a bit battered and bruised by all the fall offs by the time I lose the 7 stone I still want to lose.

I haven't been to class for the past 3 weeks for various reasons and I'm bricking it for a predicted gain tonight, but hey ho it's a deserved gain so I shouldn't complain. :)

I tried and the first time it didn't save - arrggggh!!!!!! Have altered it now! But feel free to call me any other equally offensive name lol! xxx

Not the worst typo I've seen on here. I make more than my fair share. Best one was someone comiserating of a stay the same result. The shortened form that is. Using a phone and predictive text had a wee go at changing the STS to something else. Last letter was considerable nearer the start of the alphabet. OOps. :)

Good luck with your weigh in tonight! I've decided to re-join tomorrow and not looking forward to that also!

OH is suffering from Kidney failure and is awaiting an appointment with a specialist (although he is diabetic so i'm not sure they'd feed him on chocolate! but as much as i don't mind the odd bar i couldn't imagine how you must of coped with eating it as you needed to?) - he's not in great health at all so is a worrying time for us, hence why i'm trying to get back on the wagon now before i make it worse with worry! (he also has heart and liver probs - he's older than me too, by nearly 20 yrs!)

WOW that's some mileage you do.

Oh an i so know what you mean about this bloody seat, i think mines your twin in seat land! x

Hope OH gets on OK with specialist. Not much fun though. Is this newly diagnosed or long standing. Are they talking about dialysis yet or do they think it can be helped in other ways? Doh thinking about it that's what specialists are for.

I think they regretted telling me to eat choccy as now all they do is nag about my weight. But it was first choccy in 10 years and I couldn't stop. Still not got good control if I buy it. So I just try not to buy it. :)

newly diagnosed - all a little strange as his kidneys are leaking protein, but he was told by his previous docs 6 mnths ago all is fine! But this Doc seems to think that dialysis may be likely at the very least. Still we shall wait to see what they say! He was told 2 years ago he may need to be put on the heart transplant list and the time for that is nearing too! pfffft, who knows - we shall wait and see. So thanks for sharing that very personal information, it's helped to hear from someone who has been through similar themselves! (((((thanks))))) xx

Well i think Dinner is going to be last nights left over slow cooked beef ragu and either rigatoni or sw chips with a hea of cheese.

Thanks Becs!!

I got my half stone award this evening!!!! It's taken a month, but i've got there :D xx

Evening gorgeous ladies !! Feels like this is going to be a great thread ....

Had a good day today but didn't manage to get any exercise in so going to aim for some time tomorrow xx

Yaaaaaaaay Well done Michelle - a month or not, it's downwards and that is all that counts!

Amythyst - snap i am exactly the same, really feeling dd not being at school as i have a twice daily walk up and down steep vallies to get her there and back! Our dog chewed up her harness so she's not been on a walk either (ordered her a new one) so other than the traunch around Asda i have done zilch! And i usually do the school thing and two walks on the moors a day!

Hopefully tomorrow (dependng on the rain) i'll take the kids to the park (harder than it sounds with these hills lol) and if i can get an exercise mat i'll start my fitness dvd! (an old charlie brooks one but it is amazing!! I'm not a fan of hers as such, used to work with her auntie, then a few years later she booked into a hotel i was a manager in and i couldn't beleive her weightloss and picked it up at dd's school fayre a week or so later ha ha! it's great as has a dance element, aerobics, really hard combat section and then a pilates cool downa dn you notice a difference in 2 weeks, for 3 nights of 50 mins!)

Aaaanyway - i'm off for an early night and i'm braving it tomorrow and re-joining group! Eeeeeeek xx

She does look amazing x well good luck hot tomorrow and chat doom c. Night all xx
