Rockchick72's final ever weight loss diary

Hello all

I am new to the forums but not to SW. I know the plan works but I have just given up too easily in the past - the usual excuses, I'm too busy, I can't give up socialising, it's too much effort, I can do it on my own etc etc

Well I say enough is enough - I am 39 in a few weeks and I am determined that I won't spend my 40s like my 30s - overweight and out of shape.

I have a supportive hubby (who needs to lose plenty too) a fab SIL who kicked me back to SW with her because she needs to lose too and a new found determination. I am a busy married professional with a demanding job, no kids but 2 cats and a dog. It always amazes me that my weight is the one thing I have never really got to grips with.

I weighed in at 16 12 last Wed and am determined I will lose at least a stone by Xmas

I have stuck to the plan 100% since Thursday when I started. I am a big drinker of wine (not in an alcoholic way but definitely too much) and although I am not a big eater portion wise I do eat the wrong things and have a very sweet tooth and often eat too much bread. I am going to give extra easy a real go and am pretty much cutting out bread as I seem to do better without it

Just as I started I received a large box of Hotel Chocolat chocs - but I am going to keep them within my syns

Will start a food diary in the right thread

Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing your journeys :family2:

Welcome to mini mins and good luck with your weight loss journey :)
I do extra easy every day. I am also a bread lover (thick white and slathered in butter) but only have a few slices of wholemeal every now and then these days! I buy gross butter so im not tempted anymore. For me, its the butter that makes it taste soooo good!
Well done for the will power with the chocs! xx

Hi Rockchick

Too much bread and a sweet tooth - i can totally sympathise! Good luck for your (last ever) first week, put that new found determination to good use!

Good Luck Rock Chick - I am new on here today too, and am also hoping to lose a stone by Xmas. And don't fret about turning 40, I did last year and its not that awful.....

Well I am nearly at the end of week 1 - I have stuck to it 100% and had 2 glasses of wine all week ( I can usually do 2 bottles at a weekend!)

I feel thinner - but my scales and Wii fit aren't really showing a loss - I know I should pay no attention and rely only on formal WI at class but it is soooo hard

Just thought I should add in my measurements as well - should have done them at the very start but better than never

Bust - 48" rib cage 42"
Waist 47"
Hips 54"

My goodness - I am actually a rectangle. Hilarious - I always think of myself as curvy hourglass goddess type - but I have been kidding myself for ages - I might have been an hourglass ages ago but my middle has filled out

Time to change that! Have got up and done 20 mins on the Wii fit again - so by tomorrow I will have done my first week of Silver Body Magic

OK - have decided to keep all my menus and thoughts on one place rather than a separate food and weight loss diary

I switched today's tea to jacket potatoes with tuna and quark and a huge mixed salad instead of fish cakes as I was starving and couldn't wait to cook properly

Syns today - 3 syns from half of a graze box punnet (almonds, maize and corn crackers) - I synned it using the syns calculator so I know it was right
Mini bag of haribo - 3 syns
light hifi bar - 3 syns
craving something sweet so am having meringue nest (3) with coconut mullerlight and mango, melon and papaya

Total syns - 12

Feeling really proud that I can honestly say I have stuck to this 100% - and even if I don't get a massive loss then I have eaten better this week and done some exercise

first weigh in

Drum roll............................

1lb off

Seriously??? I have stuck to it totally so a bit disappointing. The last time I did SW and had a week without much drinking and did it properly I had a small loss too. I know it will catch up next week but it does seem to me I always have better losses when I have 1 flexi syn day a week

I don't know why - maybe I have fewer treats and eat less the rest of the week (sub consciously) when I have had a flexi day. Maybe it confuses my body - I don't know!!!

Anyway, I am having a flexi day tomorrow as we have cocktails and nibbles with work and then the week after it's my birthday so another flexi there

So we shall see!!

I hope so Emmey

Anyway have had a couple of days not really on plan (with some drinks and chocolate and ice cream) but enjoyed it!

Back on plan now - am going to have some bacon, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes for brekky and off to look for some nice recipes for the rest of the week

I've often found in the past the the weight loss comes / goes back on the week after for some reason. Good luck. :)

Well I am back after a birthday week that stretched on a little shall we say.....

I have been totally off plan but had fun - went back to class yesterday ( I was at work the week before) and had only gained 1lb so not too bad

Back where I started but am determined to do better now! I am not sure total EE suits me -am going to mix in some red days and the old style mix to max where you have a green lunch and red tea. I think I like the 2 As and 2Bs you can have on those plans

Just had a great Red day
HEAs - 250 ml semi skim milk and 3 mini babybel light
HEBs - 4 Ryvita and 2 light hifi bars

Brekky (bit rushed)
coffee and hifi light bar

lunch
ham slices, chicken slices, babybel and ryvita, v low fat cottage cheese, carrot batons and grapes
2nd hfi bar

tea
lean pork tenderloin with paprika, roast butternut squash, courgettes with tomatoes and bacon
meringue nest (2.5 syns) mango and 0% greek yogurt with half a choc and coconut options (1) and sweetener mixed in

Extra Easy today

HEA - 250 ml semi skim milk
HEB - 4 Ryvita

Brekky
mango and total 0% yogurt

lunch
4 Ryvita, v low fat cottage cheese, wafer thin ham, chicken, carrots, grapes, banana

Tea
lamb curry and rice (hubby will make but def SW free food and will have lots of veggies in it)

might have a glass of wine and hifi bar for syns tonight

well 3lb off this week - very chuffed!

Have decided that green and red work better for me with maybe the odd extra easy thrown in

Well I sort of collapsed pre Christmas

Back to class today and have rejoined and bought a countdown - 12 weeks

6 weeks to my hols and this is the year I am 40. I will do this

Am going to give it 100% this week and have a fridge full of fruit and veg

Have had a pretty good week so far. Thursday and Friday on plan and stuck to no syns. Sat and sun fine on food but a bit flexi on wine. Pretty pleased though as we got takeaway on sun and i had a grilled chicken kebab with lots of salad and mint sauce and only a v thin wrap. Bang on plan yesterday and only 4.5 syns and a good day planned today. Have managed to stay off my scales too.
