PCOS Weight Loss.

I am currently a fat hairy ape due to PCOS and I feel like a man. I have 6 stone to lose :( but here begins my journey. I started Slimming world on 12/02/13 I will be following the RED day plan as I need to cut out carbs in order to lose weight with POCS.

I an addition to the plan I go to the gym 4 days a week. I will be taking mesurements as well as weight. You can follow my plan on my fitness pal too.. Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com

I will be posting my progress and diary below.

I have PCOS too, its a stuggle but i muddle along. I haven't cut carbs, was never told too even though i've read multiple times i should, but i've had weeks without carbs and lose just as bad as when i have them, so i ain't cutting my pasta for no one :p I started at 17 and half stone and lost 3 and half but it has taken me 4 years, its a pain in the bum when i can sts or gain for no reason for weeks on end
 
Tuesday 12th February - Measuring day - the day after my first weigh in, I feel very fat after learning I had gained 1 stone in around 3 weeks. I wasn't surprised, my PCOS has taken a turn for the worse lately and have not been visited by Aunt flo since September. I have had a scan and blood test from doc's but they are useless. Even recommended weight lost surgery! How rude. I have not been taking my contraceptive pill for 4 months which could have caused this gain. My weight has always been 14-14.5 stone for the last few years. Any how I am now 15 stone 13lbs and my chest is 42.5 inches, waist - 39'', hips 47'', bingo wings - 15'', thunder thighs - 27''. I will measure these monthly.

Here's my food intake for my 1st day following the RED day:

Breakfast -
2 eggs. mushrooms, bacon medallion, tomatoes scrambled in fry light - ketchup - 1 syn
1/2 Grapefruit with sweetener

Mid Morning - 35g porridge, 150ml skimmed milk and sweetner - HEA and HEB

Lunch -
Chicken Breast, Salad - free
Light Salad Cream - 1 syn
Muller light - free

Banana
Apple

Dinner:
Salmon Fillet
Veg
Jacket Potato - HEB
Parsley Sauce - 1 Syn with Milk as HEA

Dessert:

S/W Pancake x 1 (recipe from group) 1.5 syns
Strawberries
Banana
1 tsp Honey - 1 syn

Snacks:
Grapes
Cherries
Mcvities Breakfast Biscuit x 1 - 3 syns

Total Syns: = 9.5


A good 1st day :) Feeling happy
 
Wednesday 13th Feb - Day 2 and feeling good, must resist to stop weighing myself every 5 mins :p Was meant to go to the gym and low carbing has made me feel very tired. Proud that i resisted office biscuits!

Here's my food intake today:

Breakfast -
2 eggs. mushrooms, tomatoes scrambled in fry light - ketchup - 1 syn
1/2 Grapefruit with sweetener

Mid Morning - 35g porridge, 150ml skimmed milk and sweetner - HEA and HEB

Lunch -
Chicken Breast, Salad - free
Light Salad Cream - 1 syn
Muller light - free

Banana
Apple

Dinner:
Tuna Steak
Wholeweat Pasta - HEB
Vegetables
Parsley Sauce 1 syn


Snacks:
Grapes
Cherries
Mcvities Breakfast Biscuit x 1 - 3 syns
0.5 bag of 25g snack a jacks - caramel - 2.5 syns

Total Syns 8.5

Valentines day.. strictly ordered my bf NOT to buy me any chocolate or wine, he was a good boy and bought me a kettle bell :) hehe.

Steak

Onions
Mushrooms
Butternut Squash and Sweet Pot - 2.5 syns

0.5 bag of snack a jacks 2.5 syns

Total syns - 10 syns

Emotional day craved sugar, but resisted
 
Friday 15th Feb - Made it to day 4 and TFIF!!!!!!!!! WOhooo.

I am bored today at work and have found lots recipes to make. I am making Sticky chicken for dinner, Yummy. Found it on SW website just 2 syns. I want to make SW chicken keivs tomorrow but can't inf any cocktail sticks ANYWHERE. God I just want some cocktail sticks..

Here's my Intake so far today.

I don't know why its so hard to find cocktail sticks. Tooks us weeks to find a pack anywhere.
 
I know last time i made Kievs I didn't have any and the filling just melted everywhere and burned on the tray :-( I love the look of these and really want to make them properly! I sent by BF out to find some hopefully he will have more luck :)
 
Can't remember where i got mine, think it might have been poundland or somewhere like that

I stupidly weighed myself and no weight loss :-( what am I doing wrong. I'm gonna wait till group tomorrow ad there scales are different. Bit disappointing as I have given this week 200% oh....well must go on.

Monday 18th Feb - Day 7 week, well I have made it a week and I get weighed tonight. Started of f the day by going the Gym and doing 35 mins of x trainer doing 4.5 miles.

Will update later if any loss/gains .. fingers crossed!!

Not sure how you are working your HE's for saturday but if you make that an EE day your jacket and beans will be free, not HE's, or you could even make it a green day and have the ham as HEb, milk as HEa, cheese as HEa... and that means you've only had 12 syns too.
 
Thank Ally. For my first week I am doing all red days as I really need to limit my carb intake. I tried SW EE days last time but didn't lose anything. Thank Anyways x
