CheekyP's Diary - "Just" 1 Stone

Cheekypasterfield

Rather comfy here
Hello everyone,

I've decided to do a food/daily diary of my journey (just hope im not boring)

I want to lose (and I will) 1 stone!! I'm currently 11 stone and I'm size 10. I'm not completely happy and very conscious if I gain any weight I could easily move into the size 12's and that really worries me

So a little bit about me :) Back in 2011 I fell pregnant with my second daughter and very successfully followed SW. I kept my the weight to a sensible gain and after my daughter was born I quickly lost my baby weight. But (don't you just hate a but!) i sadly never lost my pre baby weight of 1 stone (which I had wanted to do before my girls)

That was two years ago and although I've lost the stone but I have also gained it back . I followed WW but keeping the weight off has never been a success a for me and I've simply had enough!

So here I am back with SW (Yay) I'm feeling very determined to lose "just" 1 stone! and im so hoping that SW can help me lose a small amount of weight!

So here goes.....

Thank you

Today's day has been good so I'm rather chuffed. Just hope it's right :)

Green Day

Breakfast - 35g Porridge (heb) and semi skimmed milk (hea)

Lunch - Potato and Leek Soup with 2 dark Ryvita (heb). Activia Strawberry Yogurt and Apple

Dinner - Jacket Potatoe with Baked beans, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes topped with 30g cheese (hea)

Free Snacks - banana and grapes

Syns - Tea x 4 (total 1tsp sugar) 1
WW chocolate bar - 4
40g Kettle crisps - 10

The crisps were high but crickey they were yummy!

Crisps used to be my downfall. Nowadays its biscuits so I'm trying to crack that one lol

Today is planned to be another Green Day and im planning to swap breakfast and lunch around.

I'm off to zumba tonight so ideally I want my potato and leek soup as it's filling but not heavy. So dinner tonight has determined my day :)

Breakfast - will be at a cafe near work so I'm gonna to have Scrambled Egg, baked beans and toast (heb)

Lunch - porridge (heb) and milk

Dinner - Potato and Leek Soup

Snacks - see how i go

Now to stick to it lol

So nearly day 2 done and still keeping focused! Yay

A little update

Free Snacks - Apple and Banana

Syn Snacks - Choc Bourbon 3.5
14g of Squirty cream (kids had it on their dessert and I couldn't resist but did weigh it lol) 2 Syns
20g of Kettle crisps - 5
Tea - total sugars - 1

I'm also super proud as I craved biscuits at work but didn't give in and on the train home I was really hungry but didn't stop off at the shop

I've found a easy trick to help keep hunger at bay before dinner and that's to have a coke zero. Its nice and sweet and seems to satisfy my hunger until it's dinner time

Now to put my girls to be and off to zumba!

Well done for not caving into those biccies. I made lemon drizzle cake for my husband and cant believe i didnt eat the lot because it was yum the little bit i tasted. Nice coke zero tip, i tend to eat a few spoonfuls of low fat natural yogurt because I really crave savoury things when it gets colder but get feel colder with the yogurt lol but it works. Hope you had a nice zumba session x

Yay a massive well done! That's pure dedication! Someone gave me a homemade chocolate muffin. I didn't eat it I just brought it home and gave it to hubby.

Zumba was good! I had a good workout, really took it up a high impact level. Came home hungry so had another banana and a WW bar so took my syns up 14.5.

I'm aiming to have the full amount 15 syns and see how i go.

Today menu will be put up shortly

Lol what would we do without our food vacs (hubbies), last week i brought some ferroro roche but couldnt bring myself to eat them so handed them over to hubby and needless to say they were gone pretty fast before i got the temptation to have any!
I'm really bad with exercise just do the walking to and from school, i get tired just looking at people exercising! I tend to have all 15 of my syns aswell and so far its working and will only lower them when my weightloss stalls. Have weigh in in a bit so off to get ready for that x

Good luck with your weigh in let me know how you get on hun.

I like zumba as it's a really fun and just a good chance to have a dance for an hour lol

Today I'm planning to have an Extra Easy day

Breakfast - Fruit and an Activia FF yogurt

Lunch - Think I'll do Omelette with pepper, tomato and a little cheese

Dinner - Seasoned chicken, sw chips and lots of roasted vegetables

Free Snacks -

Syn Snacks - I'll Probably keep my Heb for bread and have some jam later

Well did an Aldi shop and in their 6 deal they were selling Persimmons. Didn't have a clue what it tasted like but thought hey might as well give it ago and....(I can hear you all thinking it ;))

I have to say it's rather nice, I've had a firm one so not sure if it will change taste it softens? I bit like a mango, the firm one isn't sweet. I think i like it and would buy them again on offer but not sure if they were full price. I've got another 3 to have before I decide :)

So far I'm still on plan which feels great as i haven't been on the wagon for this length of time for ages. I normally last for one day. Just taking it nice and gently

They do zumba at the surestart centre here but i'm so self conscience to do it right now but maybe once my baby tummy reduces i'l have a go at it as it looked so fun when i was watching the other ladies do it. Persimmons are very sweet when they are ripe but its guessing when they are ripe i always get wrong so prefer sharon fruit instead which is similar to persimmons or might even be the same thing as they look same!
I lost 2lbs at weigh in and got my half stone award but when i got home my hubby rushed off to get his car tyres changed. He came back with a massive pizza!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt go mad but had a little slice but i really hate him for bringing it home! Ah well back to it 100% tomorrow. I'm taking it nice and gently too like you. I remember you from the pregnancy forum, you had your little girl as soon as i was on that thread and i had a little boy a couple of months later. After having him I lost nearly 4 stones and fell pregnant again! So i now have 4 children under the age of 5 and smallest girl is only 4 months old (and all the weight to lose again). You have done so good after having your baby. How are your 2 little girls doing x

Yay well done with your weight loss that's fantastic!!!!

I recognised your name and remembered you too from the pregnancy forum but wasn't sure if you'd remember me :)

Wow you're one busy mummy! It's so hard to juggle weight loss and babies/kiddies! You're doing amazing!

Well done for staying in control with the pizza, it's so hard when you've got temptation under your nose!

My girls are good. Abbie (my eldest) started school September. Izzy (my youngest) is now 2yrs 5 months!

Time has flown by and im pleased I've kept my weight down but when I look back 2 years and see the silly stone is still there and I've spent the whole time dieting it is really depressing!

Oh well I'm trying to do SW and just hope I can do it!

Claire x

My eldest Alissa (5 year old) also started school this september and my second eldest Zara (she will be 4 in feb) started nursery so that leaves my son Kaif (will be 2 in feb) and Emaan my youngest daughter at home keeping me on my toes. Never mind about the 1 syn tomorrows a new day x
You syn your tea is it because you use sugar, most of my syns are used on sugar that i've had to cut down on tea because i have cut out sweetners x

Yep my Tea Syn is sugar. After having the Izzy and doing SW I really quickly realised that sugar was syn costly (I didn't bother counting my sugar/tea when I was doing SW when pregnant)

Originally I could spend 5 syns just on sugar , so I bought measuring spoons and slowly reduced my sugar down by a 1/4tsp, each time only going down once the Tea tasted just like 1tsp. So now I'm on a 1/4tsp. I've managed to get hubby from 2tsp to 1tsp by simply reducing it down by 1/4tsp.

How's your eldest enjoying school? Abbie loves it but I do have a grumpy girl after school when she's tired.

Izzy goes to my childminder the days I work (Mon to Wed) and then she's with me the rest of the week. I'm going to make the most of this last year as next September she'll be in preschool.

So today is a planned Extra Easy.

Breakfast - Toast with Jam (0.5syns)

Lunch - Subway Chicken salad with bbq sauce (2 Syns)

Dinner - Grill up

Free Snacks - Grapes

Syn Snacks - Hot Chocolate - 13syns

Hubby and I had a rare time together so we went to Lakeside shopping centre. We went to Starbucks and I enjoyed my Hot chocolate. It was lovely spending time with hubby and just relaxing without having to keep an eye on the kids

Now to be careful with syns for the rest of the afternoon :)

I used to spend 5 syns on sugar too and have now reduced it to 1 syn. Alissa loves school too but like Abbie she is so grumpy and she tends to fall straight to sleep when I put her in bed at 7. In my time most of us kids used to cry when we sent to school or nursery but not kiddies nowadays they couldnt care less lol. My kiddies are all upset today because they wanted to go and see the fireworks the school was doing and i even brought a ticket for myself as adults had to pay but it was pouring it down at 6 when they were meant to start so we couldnt go. SW wise its all gone to pot thanks to cramping, dont know if its totm or contraception so i gave into 3 rounds of toast!!! After kiddies are asleep i will be doing a whole week food plan so that will hopefully keep me on track!

Sounds like you had a lovely day with your hubby. Hows your syns going or have you stayed at the 13 x

Aww what a shame to miss on the fireworks! We got some for home and did them on Tuesday. Abbie loved them and Izzy kind of liked them.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Sometimes nature wins over all our good intentions! I've found since having kids I know my cycle so much better and notice for me my ovulation time is the worse. I get spots and huge carb cravings.

Syns...mmmmm....

I ended up with a KFC but I'm chuffed as I made sensible choices. I was hungry before dinner so had plenty of fruit whilst waiting for hubby getting in. I picked the Grilled Chicken Burger with chips. This for me is being "good" lol

I've decided that I need to have a life... So I'm adapting 'flexi' days in a way that I'll isolate it to a meal so I have a 'flexi meal' It means for me

a) I don't feel bad
b) I don't feel like I've fallen off the wagon and
c) im staying in control; picking my meal wisely.
d) it means I don't go 'fekk it' feel like I've come off plan and go on a binge.

I hope that makes sense lol

I'll not have any syns now so it's 13syns and a flexi dinner

We were lucky we missed the fireworks, they told us to get there by 6 so i assumed the latest they would start the fireworks would be 6:30 but I heard them go off at 7:20 while my girls and boy were fast asleep so we would have been freezing waiting there for over a hour!

Yumm I love KFC fancy it now that you have mentioned it! Your so right about having a life and I know most people fail eventually is they don't. Thats why i changed from sweetener to sugar because in the long term i wasnt going to use them so i though i might as well change it now and i also have regular flexi days/meals like you but right now my body cycle is all messed up (it takes over 6 months for my hormones to settle down after having a baby) so sometimes i just give into the urge and i really shouldn't because i need that boost of weight loss. Also my cramps have suddenly stopped after i had the toast (I wish they had stopped before the toast) lol x
Ah Saturday tomorrow no school runs, no getting wet. You have anything planned or are you just chilling at home x
