Kitty - O so needs to shift this ar$€ !!!

So, after sticking to plan 100% for two weeks now I have only lost a pound !!:(

I've decided to have a food diary on here to help me along even tho I write down at home what I eat daily. (Maybe I'm going wrong somewhere, please help if I am)

So heres a bit more about me. I do SW from home as never wanted to go to group.
I started out losing and doing well about 18 months ago. I lost 2 stone 10 lb and felt great, but then there were the 'sod it' days were I'd have the butter and the cheese on the toast, and the extra bit of toast, or the crumpets with butter and jam. And slowly put one stone back on even though I still ate SW friendly for the most part. I've never been one for convenience meals, sweet treats or crisps. I always had the odd frozen low fat lasagne or fish pie for an emergency tea. I LOVE cooking and that's why slimming world appeals to me, also the fact that I cannot stand being hungry!! I'm not a veggie but I do love my green days.
I will admit though that I don't count alcohol as syns. When I do drink I have a syn free day on that day and a day or two after. I know I should count them but I lost my initial weight whilst drinking too. I was a big lover of lager, and drank a lot when I went out as well as all the shots and cocktails. Now when I drink I have white wine with lemo/soda or vodka slimline tonic. I know many people who stop having everything and soon as they start drinking again pile on the weight. I know that SW is a plan for life.

So I'm currently 10lb heavier than I was at my lightest last year. I still have a LONG way to go though. I'm gonna put my stats up too as I haven't done it so far. I just need to face it now!!

food so far today

breakfast - plain oats so simple made with milk from HeA, hot water with fresh lemon

lunch- pasta with tuna, onion and grated carrot mixed with ff fromage frais, bowl of toms and beet root , banana and green tea.

Kitty, you sound very similar to myself! I am so far enjoying SW, it's got me back into cooking, I don't feel like I'm missing out or deprived of foods etc. And also like you I don't count alcohol as syns. naughty I know but I don't. I try and be good with syns on food the days I know I'll be having a few wines but it's nice to sit down at the end of the day and enjoy a glass or 3!
Having said that I am making a conscious effort to have a dry few weeks leading up to Christmas as I want to lose a good amount of weight before Xmas so I can enjoy the Xmas week and if I do gain a couple of lb I know I am still lighter than I would've been if not started SW!

I think I'm like u, I kid myself that adding some more butter or cheese etc is still on plan even tho I should be more strict. I've also just drunk half a bottle of wine which I don't count as syns, its only liquid... Hence why I'm not losing like I would like! xx

I'm back after a few days not on here . :wavey:

Long story short ,
Thursday - spent the whole day preparing for an interview
Friday - interview in the morning, spent the rest of the day stressing!! , went to a 'doo' in the night. ( drowned my sorrows cos I didn't get the job!!:cry:)
Saturday - went to work at 9 am.( I work in Everton FC on match days ) so I worked my ar$€ off and met my mate for 'a' drink afterwards. Needless to say I fell in at 1oclock in the morning. - literally! I wanted something to eat and resisted the chippy and kebab shop. so when I got fell off balance while looking for the sliced chicken in the fridge and Fell head first into the broccoli!!! :p

So woke up yest with a hangover from hell!! Started off doing well with a SW brekkie, until my sis came round and we started talking bout food. Ended up going for a three course Sunday lunch and a bottle of wine. Followed by more wine at my sisters house. :eek:

Basically I'm back on plan today with a vengeance !!

gonna go and catch up with everyone xx

So , food today so far

Extra Easy

HeA - semi skimmed
HeB -original oats so simple porridge


Breakfast - heA and HeB

Lunch - bowl of homemade veg and lentil soup, 'fried' egg and ham on 2x wm toast (5 syns), banana

Tea - liver and kidneys with mushroom and onion gravy,(3 syns) mash and broccoli and carrots.

Snacks - shapers popcorn (4 syns) ,1 low fat baby bel (2 syns)

Drinks- tea with milk from heA, diet lemo, water


Got some raspberries, grapes and apple with fat free yogurt for later on

so far so good.

Im gutted bout the job cos it ticked all the boxes for me - age range of the kids, location, job specifics. There's just nothing out there at the mo. will have to get on to the agency cos only 1 days work last week and had fri off for my interview .
