My year of slimming world - Nic
Ive decided to make a diary as I restarted Slimming world 27th Dec 2013. My Starting weight is 21st 8.1/2lbs, which is the highest ive ever been and know about it! Im a mum of four kids and ive tried every diet going, but my greatest sucess has always been on slimming world- I need the support of group and its a plan the whole family can follow along with me (win win).
The past few years have been terrible, which is why ive managed to eat my way back here. But 2014 I have much to look forward to and aim for:
* Easter holiday in France.
* Mid july - University Graduation.
* October - my Birthday
* December - xmas and reflecting over the year, hopfully much slimmer!
Somewhere in between all that i need to find a job, i know at this size i will struggle and not give the right impression so that is another motivator!
So I joined group friday night, but my normal weigh ins will be thursdays. The group has a facebook page which is nice. Next week when student loan drops ill be getting an actifry and stocking the freezer up with chilli etc.
Food Diary so far:
No Breakfast as was food shopping (Had Haribo Sour suckers - big rookie mistake 13 1/2 syns!!)
Lunch - Baked potato, laughing cow light blue cheese triangle (1 1/2 syn) and half a tin of beans. 2 Apples for dessert.
Dinner - Lamb, Sw roasties (Spray olive oil, HEB), sprouts, carrots, spinach, cauli, broccoli, gravy (1syn), Mintsauce (2syns).
Drinks - bottle flavoured water, tea, coffee, green tea.
Exercise - 30min walk with the dog and oldest child.
My biggest goal is to commit to slimming world for a year and hope that by then its second nature to go to class.

Breakfast- porridge made with hot water and sweetner (4.5syns)
Lunch - Eggs with frylite fried mushrooms, peppers, onions and garlic. 2 slices of 400g hovis wholemeal (HEXB)
Dinner - Home made chilli and rice (all free!) 30g cheddar cheese (HEA)
Drinks - fruit tea, flavoured water and a glass of cherry coke zero.
Im thinking i may have a hot chocolate and a piece of jam toast for supper but ill only do this if im hungry. :-)

Good luck on your journey. My restart is wednesday and I've a funny feeling that I'll be weighing in just a tad more then you. If you don't mind I'm gonna follow your progress and hopefully it will keep me on the straight and narrow xxx
Ah it was!! a member suggested doing it over slimming world chips too so im going to try that later in the week!

Cheers chickarooney!!! I keep looking at all the junk in the house and thinking yuk!!! I've still got 7 hot steamed chocolate puddings on the side in the chicken. Just can't bring myself to bloody eat them. I have to say that this year has been less of a binge that normal!! So I'm hoping that the numbers on Wednesday aren't that bad. Who am I kidding!!! I'm focusing on it being the last time I see that number!!! Because I know that I can and will loose comfortably with SW.

See that is exactly what you need - Award winning goals!!! I just keep wondering how long it will take to loose 10stone, and after 4 kids can I even get that low? We definately ate alot less crap this xmas but its studying for me, Ive put on 2 stone since september just by eating out, convenience food and not having the energy to look aftermyself! I graduate in July so thats a massive milestone for me, I donot want to be this size.. im living in leggings at the min as I refuse to buy bigger!! (plus cant really afford too!) do you have any big events this year to aim for?

Hello, I'm subscribing to your page as you're at the start of your journey again, as I am and although i have less to loose, I still consider it a mountain to loose >.<! I start back on the 8th, I never left group, just have struggled and just went haywire over christmas, I work at McDonald's and I've eaten McDonald's at work everyday last week :/ xx
The only thing to look forward to is my besties wedding. She asked me to be a bridesmaid but I declined. Her 2 sisters are stunning ( skinny) and with her daughter and niece there were already 4 so lucky me she didn't put up too much of a fight. I however have ended up with bridesmaids duties (hen party, favours, general management stuff) lol

HI!!! More the merrier!! Draw a line under xmas and pump yourself up for restarting! well done for sticking to group and working in maccies- EEK!!! Hopefully we will all beable to keep each other motivated :-)

I prefer not being in the bridal party, you get to enjoy the wedding more in something comfy and not a dress that you cant sit down in properly without showing you spanx (bad experience talking here!!lol)

Studying today so this is a tad late but
Bfast- missed (naughtly me) which explains the shape of my day considerably!
Lunch- Turkey salad sandwich (home made - HEXB), french fries (4)
Dinner - Chilli (FREE from last nights batch cooking), rice, cheddar cheese (HEXA)
Snacks- mini roll (6), Curly wurly (6), Strawberry pencils (2), drops of milk in coffee (2).
So today has required all my syns and i know it was due to a late lunch and no breakfast, so I was out at a friends with the kids and the only food present was xmas treats. I feel I was very restrained (I knew curly wurlys were lower, was annoyed at myself over the mini roll though as I wasnt having one but my youngest bit a bit and then gave it to me.. i should have resisted but id already said no to all the other goodies and I was starving and weak!!).
Tonight ive been sipping water and trying to get an essay done, its a good distraction but id normally eat at the same time so need to break the associations between lap top and food!! grrr.. TOMORROW (now today) IS A NEW DAY!!
The wedding is just after Easter so plenty of incentive to avoid the Easter eggs lol
Just tucking myself up in bed to avoid NYE. I really don't like it. All the idiots seem to appear around here !!!!
