This is the last, last attempt. 2015 is my year

Hi all :wavey:

So here I am again starting ANOTHER January at my heaviest. I spend the 1st half of the year losing the weight, then go on holiday and lose focus...then spend the 2nd half of the year putting it all back on.

I am promising myself this is the last time I am doing this. I normally follow WW but have decided to try SW (have tried it in the past when I 1st had my baby) and am going along to my 1st meeting on Wednesday.

Last year I also took up running but that has fallen away over the last couple of weeks cos it is so cold...so today I am starting back on that as well. Managed to run 10km but think I am going to have to build up again slowly to prevent injury.

So this is it, I have joined minimins for that bit of extra support & will log food here so i can see it all written down

Good Luck to everyone starting this week & those in the middle of their journey & those maintainers (this is where I fall down)

Good luck x

but have just read your last post sorry your plans have fallen through....my plans for NYE have changed too
My daughter's birthday is new years day so we normally have people round..this year my mum offered to come over and babysit so great we planned to go somewhere else....
mum phoned this morning- shes not well and been told to stay away from children so cant come

we could have people here as usual but fancied the break...plus its my 1st meeting 5-7 and the idea of reading through all the bumf is preferable!
sounds a bit sad but just want to start now!

Good luck! I'm doing 28 days of a vlcd to kickstart my weight loss then switching to Slimming World and starting running again...so I hope you don't mind me subscribing!

well done on your 10k run...do build up slowly. One of the reasons I'm doing a vlcd is that I'm not able to run at the moment because of a stress fracture (from building up too quick! And quite probably because I'm carrying too much extra weight)

good luck...I look forward to hearing all about your successes!

thanks Dietninga. I injured myself going to far too quickly...so after my injury i built up to 10km and did the abbey dash in leeds, was so proud of myself, but since then I have only done the odd park run, so think i need to start off at 3-4 km again. I didn't go out today as the pavements look too slippy....which means i MUST get out on wednesday at some point. or wait till dark tomorrow when OH is back from work.
I am missing that feeling once a run has finished so hopefully I can get out soon
good luck with you 28 days vlcd!
Rachel

Hi Cactus - I'm the same as you, every year I promise myself the same things and every year here I am still fat for Christmas, for summer, for my birthday, everything. I rejoined MM after being here a few years ago...just found it so supportive. Will follow your diary with interest - I've got one of my own on here too.

Hope it went well at group for you :) Good luck for the New Year :)

I did have my heaviest measurement written down somewhere....
As for photos, there odd ones here and there....
but it will be good for you to look back on :)

do you have a link for the courgette spaghetti peeler, i could do with something like that :(

Look like you're going to be all set to go! good on you!
Happy New Year ! too!!

good day for my daughters birthday! so all set for tomorrow- plan all done AND shopping list for Morrisons tomorrow

weigh in - i was pleasantly surprised still the heaviest i have been for a while AND over half a stone heavier than this time last year and a whole stone heavier than my holiday! but ready to go!

Zafira- this is the link but because I am tight and dont like paying for postage & packaging i went for the one thats free & its not due to be dispatched till the 10th!!!

At least you're not disappointed with weigh-in and are ready to go that's a good attitude to have :)
Not see that spiral one when looking earlier, you will have to let us know what it's like when you've used it :)
How old was your daughter today?:)

she was 6 yesterday (going on 16). she had a fab day and friends are taking her bowling this morning so i can go shopping for all my lovely slimming world food AND party food- luckilY I am making individual bags for each child and the only thing that will be on the tables to nibble are crisps, tomatoes, carrots & grapes....so will ignore the crisps!

So todays plan is normaL EE (cos i dont have anything in really to eat apart from Pineapple that isn't EE XP)

Breakfast- Pineapple
Lunch- Bacon, Mushrooms, Egg, tomatoes, Toast (hexb)
Dinner- Beef Curry & Rice

HEX A - Milk for tea
Hex B- wholemeal bread
Syns- probably wine

Yesterday went to plan! 15 syns on alcohol though- but it is a friday. Will probably be the same tonight too!

Have just spent the last hour making sandwiches for 22 children- it can only mean 1 thing! PARTY TIME! I have made up food bags that will have sandwiches, sausage rolls & cakes in them & the only thing "buffet" style will be tomatoes, carrots, grapes and crisps, so will try and graze on the free veg!

Todays plan EE XP
Breakfast- weetabix crispy minis & milk plus an apple
Lunch- Ham salad
Dinner- Steak, Roasted Veg & Mushrooms

HEX A-Milk
HEX B- hazelnuts & Weeabix minis

you dont get much cereal for 30g do you?

You definitely don't! I prefer plain Weetabix with a banana, think it balances your sugar levels for longer. Eventually though you do get used to a smaller bowl, but it is hard! We did a blind test in class once and it was shocking how many people were giving themselves double or even triple servings and nearly using up their syns without knowing it!

I can see that heppening, I thought i would guess and it ended up double!
I am not a fan of weetabix but I like the chocolate ones (hmmmm i wonder why) and just a splash of milk so they are still quite crunchy
