Is anyone else a SERIAL weigher?

Ok, I know we're meant to weigh our cereal but I am self confessed SERIAL weigher. I know I shouldn't do it, I know that the only weight I should pay attention to is the one from the scales in class but I just can't stop myself!
Without fail every morning, and every night and quite often a sneaky hop on through the day too. My consultant knows my guilty secret and even went as far as taking my scales off me until I pleaded for them back lol.

The downside is that our weight does fluctuate and it often takes a week for losses to show - thats why we get weighed weekly - but I have often got on the scales 3 days before class, saw that I have gone up and then thought ''oh sod it''.

The upside is that generally it does keep me focussed and if a day or so before there's not much movement it does give me a kick up the bum to be extra good.

My scales weigh in at a pound under the class ones so I always have some idea as to what to expect but does anyone else have this naughty habit? x

I don't ever do this....until this morning. Never again. Weigh in was yesterday and I sts which has pretty much been the scenario for a while now. Feeling demotivated and peed off I had fry up last night where not everything was done in fry light nor were they low syns items. Had glass wine also with the promise to start afresh today and not even have low syns take away like I normally do on a sat. Woke up feeling yucky and for some reason stood on scales...showed gain of two pounds. Whether its a true reflection or not its bugged me and am sitting here talkin myself out off a syns laden breakfast...so never again

I did do this. But now I keep the scales under my bed. I usually forget about them then. If they're staring at you in the house it's so tempting. Lock them away ;-)

Yep (slaps own hand). I weigh at home but I do tend to nip on the scales every morning (which is bad I know) but Im doing sw at homw. One thing I have noticed is that I weigh heavier first thing in the morning than a little later.

Me, I'm an online member so don't get weighed at a class but I just can't help jumping on the scales! I am now however in a forced exile as hubby needs the scales for the martial arts gym he runs. I am hoping for them back very soon.

It's not a true reflection - firstly I'm assuming you didn't eat 7000 calories which is what you need for 2lb of fat. And secondly excess calories do not turn to fat overnight. It's fluid retention probably due to high salt content in the food and the alcohol which dehydrates you.

I always weigh myself everyday. It keeps me in check!
I know I will weigh approx 3/4 lbs heavier in the evening and that it will be gone by the morning. I also know that if I've had a carb heavy day, I may weigh more and it may not be gone by the next morning! I don't let it bother me though, I know exactly how my body works!
Even when I'm not dieting as such, I still weigh myself. Even if I know I've gained weight by my clothes, seeing the numbers on the scales is what pulls me back, which is why I feel I never get to the stage where I have too much to lose.....

I know it's not for everyone, but it works for me.

I'm doing sw at home but seriously thinking of ditching the scales & making a weekly trip to Boots to get weighed. That way I won't be tempted to weigh mid weeek.

again so true...as mentioned i had toast instead. The rational part of my brain kicked in and i took the homemade soup for lunch out the freezer to stop me making up any more excuses. I also find sluggish after a chinese for example, reason i am not having one tonight - thank

I weigh myself about 5 times a day don't know why I just do but it doesn't get to me thankfully I have been on plan 200% this week so far, my weigh in day is Tuesday and i'm weighing 1lb heavier than last week, no explanation for it but hopefully (it better) even itself out, if I were to let that annoy me I would eat for Ireland today and end up weighing 3lb heavier tomorrow so its not worth it, I only go by my group scales but for some reason I have to weigh myself at home, even writing this i'm asking myself why I do it but I don't have an answer!

I find that I never actually lose weight until right at the end of the weighing week anyway.
This is another thing I have learned from weighing daily!!!

On the weeks that I lose, it never shows until my 'proper' weigh in day...weird but true!!
So, I can weigh myself all week, fluctuating up slightly and back down to 'last weeks' weight and then, I will only show a loss on the 7th day....if at all!!! lol
And, if I don't have a loss, it more often than not shows the next day......which, because I weigh daily, spurs me on then til the next weigh in day!!!
