Have just rejoined SW again on Thursday and am trying to plan out meals for the next week

I plan to do most EE days as like the flexibility that come with this

What I wanted to ask quickly was:

What simple family friendly meals do you like to make

Thanks

My favourite EE is spaghetti bolognese, so easy and tasty.

The latest magazine had some lovely recipes. - the burgers are amazing and i can't wait to try the lamb rogan josh

Big Mac in a bowl is dead easy, as are homemade scotch eggs,

One of our favourites is just cottage pie made with extra lean mince loaded up with super free veg.

Only 2 Syns per serving on Extra Easy

Ingredients:
Extra lean minced beef
Chopped onion
Pickled gherkins, chopped into slices
3 slices of Asda lighter burger cheese slices (cut into chunks)
Shredded iceberg lettuce
2 Tbsp of Kraft light thousand island dressing

Cook the mince and onion, once cooked add the sliced gherkins stirring well, then add 2 slices of cheese & allow it to melt slightly. Add the thousand island dressing and the iceberg lettuce.
Top with the last slice of cheese & serve!

I like to make roast dinners SW style, pasta dishes (I use passata for a tomato sauce, or Philadelphia light as a Hex A to make a creamy sauce), paella, risottos, stir fries, SW curry etc. Most things can be adapted to be SW friendly.

In the week I try to keep things simple (although I did a lovely roast tonight - wed). Tue and Thur are busy, busy - so we have stir fry veg and lean meat with noodles flavoured with garlic, ginger, chilli, salt, pepper and soy sauce. I find my slow cooker very useful as well as I can sling in a pack of casserole veg and stewing steak with seasoning and some tomatoes in the morning and its ready to dish up when I get home from work (I serve it with lots of superfree veg). Spag bol or chilli are also favourites, and I've started having steamed shredded white cabbage instead of spaghetti, or mashed cauliflower instead of rice to up the superfree as well, but that's not necessary.
