    Superfree

    Hi,

Thinking of trying slimming world again. I'm trying to put a list of superfree veg i like with out salad cream or gravy.

My list is very short lol

My question is are pickled veg like beetroot, onions and gherkins superfree? As that is all i like without dressing other than tomatoes and cucumber.

I know pickled onions and gherkins are and I think beetroot is too. I've been snacking on that combination and finds it helps keep hunger pangs away.

Nothing wrong in having a salad with dressing, you just need to find one you like and syn it. There are some nice low syn ones, or ones you can make yourself, or if you want mayo or salad cream go for the light varieties.

Thanks. I only really like salad cream, i dont like the light version and usually put loads on. I love anything pickled so its good to know i can count them as superfree, i like to try and keep my lunch syn free so will be trying to keep away from salad cream.

Starting today from home then going to join group next week as i am at a wedding this weekend x

For a SYN free dressing I love a homemade mint yogurt one.

I mix some mint sauce ( I use Colman's fresh garden mint sauce, it's sugar free, therefore SYN free ) in with some fat free natural yogurt and a little spenda. It's lovely! It's quite nice with diced cucumber in it too, like an Indian riata.
I don't use any actual amounts, just to my own taste really.

Hmmm, that sounds nice - apart from the cucumber bit, I really don't like that green stuff! I shall make a note of the recipe for future salad lunches.
