    body magic

Last night our consultant was talking about body magic and I'm trying to decide if I can get my gold/platinum award?

I go running 2-3x a week for about 2hrs total and have done so for a year now. I have a Fitbit and it says I average about 29/30 mins exercise a day over a week.

The bit I'm unsure of is I possibly don't do lots every day. Thanks

For Gold, you need to do 2.5 hours minimum a week with at least 2 strengthening exercises (I used a weighted hula hoop with hand weights).

Platinum is when Gold is a lifetime habit

If you do 5 x 30 minutes sessions of exercise a week that's the gold level and like i_am_plankton once that becomes a life time habit (they ask for 2 x 8 weeks) it's at platinum. From what you're saying you're doing enough exercise to get the gold, you just need to get a body magic log and start, when you've finished it give it your consultant and she'll give you your award x

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have a query on Body Magic and wondered if anyone could help.

After struggling for some time, I decided to rejoin group on Monday and have also decided to restart my Body Magic. Yesterday I went for a nice 4.34 mile walk (60 minutes) and plan to do the same again on Saturday morning. I am also going to be startin the 30 day squat challenge this week too, hopefully tonight.

Now, my question is. Which award will I be working towards? Logic says bronze, as that's the first award. But on the other hand, I am doing much more than is required for that reward. It always confuses me a bit - do you have to start from bronze and work upwards? Or would you just get silver / gold straight away (depending on amount / type of activity)?

Personally, I would prefer to start at my bronze award and work upwards so that I have a complete set, but I don't want to do less exercise to fit in with it when I am happy with the amount I am doing currently. I hope this makes sense? Any advice would be much appreciated

I think you just start at the level you're already at, no need to start at bronze if you are already at silver or gold level. I'm planning to start at silver level myself. Got a treadmill in the house so no excuses for me!
