Sorry to hear about your gain, it could well be TOTM. Is it possible you could post your food diary to see if anyone can pick up on anything?

If you post a daily meal plan showing each meal and snacks separately it may help.

Oh that sucks, you must feel very disheartened.
:bighug:

Im sure it's something we can help you figure out though. The week before Tom is always a gainer for me.

Do you weigh at home? Did you use different scales on a different surface maybe? Did you weigh in the morning on an empty belly last week and had eaten before hand this week? It could be any number of things x

Hello. I started at the same time as you so know how hard it has been getting sorted with the new way of eating. Are you going to group or doing online? The only thing I can see from your food list there is that alcohol can be high in syns, about 24 syns a bottle maybe? and chip shop chips might be high? That's the only thing I can see though. Try not to worry about it. xx

It could bebut used good syns in week

Sometimes it could just be the change in diet to your body but make sure you write a food diary and let your consultant see it, it could be something minor thats going wrong and if she can see a food diary then she will spot this for you.
I try to eat more speed foods and less carbs and use my snacks between meals on things like syn free yogurts, fruit or chopped veggies.
Then save my healthy extras for evening snacking xxx

How are you feeling about things today? X

My first week too today... it takes time to get used to. One thing that I did, which might help you, is that I had 1/3-1/2 plate of veg and had carrots and apples to snack on. When eating, I started with the veg and made sure I finished that before moving on to the other stuff on the plate. I found that I ate less pasta for example that way (but still ate waaay more food than I normally do). I also finished each meal with "luxury" fruit such as fresh strawberry, melon etc. It settled my sweet tooth (and that is a big sweet tooth I have got!). How much veg and fruit did you eat? Maybe you just need to change the balance?

Like some say the big gain could be just body getting use to eating good foods, but for some reason i was put off doing another week, breakfast would have been porridge with mullerlight yogurt and berries, lunch was home made quiche and salad, dinner was sw meal with salad, fruit, made cous cous cakes if got hunry,i was never hungry, but i do have totm which didn't help x

Cous-cous cakes are classified as a tweak so you would need to Syn the cous-cous. You would eat more couscous that way rather than the way it is intended to be eaten. Eating large amounts of carbs can lead to water retention and as it is your TOTM, you may be carrying some water weight.

Keep hydrated.

If you are looking to make cakes, consider using your B-choice to make porridge-cakes. They are exceptionally yummy! :D

How do you make porridge cakes, Phoenix-Girl? They sound interesting! :)

That must be so hard for you, Maria but, like green-eyed monster said, don't give up. Give it another week, at least, and, with everyone's support from here, hopefully things will begin to move in the right direction. Really feel for you though.

Kathy x

I've found it's extremely important to drink enough water and to get your 1/3 speed food wherever possible. If I don't do these two things, my losses are smaller. Also TOTM will undoubtedly affect you. Don't use it as a reason to quit.
