I'm going back to slimming world tonight. This will be the 3rd time I have joined over 8 years. I'm really hoping I stick to it this time as previous 2 times I've lost weight then quit and put at least twice as much back on. I'm dreading the weigh in... But have prepared tonight's and tomorrow's dinner in advance. Tonight is the ginger and soy salmon with rice noodles tomorrow is chicken and fruity cous cous. I quit smoking in October and finally finding the willpower to do that has made me think maybe I can do this too! In the past I have always tried to do everything at once, quit smoking, diet, exercise, etc. I tend to burn out so baby steps seems like it may be the way forward for me. I don't exercise but the walk to group and home will take about 40 mins so I'll start with that!

Hi there
I'm exactly the same as you ! Joined Slimming World for the 3rd time too on Weds eve. I first joined after I had my third (and final! ) daughter - she's now 9.5 yrs & I reached my target weight - losing 3 stone 5 pounds. I intended to keep going to maintain but I think I thought "I look alright now" and went back to old eating habits ! I didnt put it all back on ..thankfully. The second time I joined a few years ago and found it more difficult - not sure why. I'm trying to look at it in a different light this time & re-shift my focus away from image & on to the wonderful health benefits that you get from being slimmer! That way - I figure - when the weight goes my motivation to eat healthily won't disappear too!
Congratulations on giving up smoking ! If you can do that then you can lose the weight too. I once read on someone's post that 'losing weight is hard but living with the extra weight is harder!'
Definitely small steps ...don't give up and each hurdle ... I'm determined to make this 3rd (& final) time lucky !! Good luck

Well done on re-joining, it takes a lot of strength and courage to do that.

How are you doing so far? A 40 minute walk will do you the world of good! Good luck :)
