2015 has got to be my year! My diary...

Great news on the loss half a pound is still in the right direction so be proud! :)

Thanks everyone! Trying to be positive, but have had a bad few days celebrating my sons first birthday! Have had a few pieces of cake today and a very unhealthy party lunch yesterday! But still not everyday it's your little boys first birthday! So I'm going to draw a line under it and start a fresh from tomorrow! I hope I haven't done too much damage! X

Hi hope everyone is doing well! After a pretty bad start to my week celebrating little boys first birthday and lots of cake, I have now reigned it in and back on track! I've just cooked my first ever curry loaf, but it seems a bit crumbly, hope I left it in the oven for long enough! It tastes delicious though! Weigh in tomorrow so not feeling too hopeful, but have everything crossed!! X

I make the curry loaf, very tasty:)
But I also find it crumbles easily too ... Don't think that's unusual?
Good luck for weigh in!

How do u make the curry loaf x

here's the recipe...... i add some more curry powder to it about a heaped tsp of mild......tastes delish!

Hi everyone, it's my weigh in day today and I have stayed the same. I'm not surprised but still do feel a bit disappointed. I thought I would be further on into my journey by now, but oh well. So today is day 1 again and I always feel hopeful on day 1! I'm thinking of doing some red days as I always seem to loose well when I haven't had many carbs. I need to look into it a bit more as I know absolutely nothing! I wish I could join a group too! I just can't make it work as I'm a stay at home mum with a 2.5yr old and a 1yr old! Little girl does go to nurseries some days and have noticed there is a meeting on Wednesday mornings about 20 mins drive away that I could potentially go to with my boy in tow... Do people take their kids to class and do the others mind?

So today's menu is:

b: Oats (hex b), yogurt and banana
l: 2 slices curry loaf, chicken breast, salad & 2 tbsp pizza express dressing (4 syns)
s: strawberries, pear, orange, apple
D: spaghetti Bolgognaise, yogurt

im trying to do more excercise too, but find it difficult with the kiddies to fit it in. Today my mum has been here for a few house so managed to go on a fast walk/jog for 25 mins. Literally thought I was about to die! Then I came home and did 1 circuit of the 7 day work out (I got an app on my iPad and it seems v. Good so far)! Hopefully be able to fit some in over the weekend as hubby will be around to mind the kids!

also does anyone have any advice on syns? I don't use many a day, or I tend to save them for a few glasses of wine at the weekend. I don't know if I should be doing that? It's hard doing this by yourself with no one to ask (except you lovely people)! If anyone has advice it would be greatly received.

hope we all have successful weekends! Amy x

I wouldnt worry at all going to group with your child in tow as alot of members at our group take their children xx i dont mind at all its like one big coffee morning/creche lol xx

In terms of syns i lose more weight if i use between 5-10 syns a day x if i know im having a night out i save them for then x

Well day 2 of my week and I'm still feeling good! Have do e lots more exercise today, which included one circuit and a big 2 hour walk up a hill with my nearly 2 stone baby on my back! It hurt a lot and I can barely feel my shoulders now! But hopefully it will be worth it.

ive been thinking more about red days and definitely going to have one tomorrow. It's nearly 5pm and I've noticed I have basically done it so far today, I would continue but have planned curry and rice for tea. I'm looking forward to the extra healthy extras! And I also think I need to be using a few more syns per day, as I can go 4 days without using any then I have a bit of a blowout which I don't think is ideal. So my menu for today looks like:

b- oats with yogurt and banana (hex b)
l- smoked salmon salad and lots of fruit (2 syns for dressing)
d- chicken tikka masala and rice and a plate of random vegetables to make sure I'm hitting the superfree.

For my syns tonight I will have a glass of wine and a Allen light bar (who knew they were so scrummy?)! I REALLY want a loss next week so will fit some more running or something in tomorrow!

Hope le everyone is having a good weekend! X

Well the chicken tikka masala I cooked last night was absolutely delicious, couldn't believe it was no syns! I used up 20 syns last night, but think that's ok as I don't use many on other days. I'm doing my first red day today, I'm having sweet potato for lunch and have just realised it's not free or a healthy extra on a red day. So I'm going to have to syn it, which is fine, just trying to find out the information online! So my menu today:

b- oats made with milk (hex a & b)
l - 2 Tesco light choices sausages (1 syn) with butternut squash and sweet potato mash & green beans
d - 1 slice of cheese on toast or a cheese and salad sandwich (using 2nd hex a & b)
s - alpen light bar (3 syns), loads of fruit, yogurt

i will hopefully fit some more running or circuits in later too!

Having a look at my meals today I dont think it makes any sense to have a red day today. I'm going to have an EE day and change dinner from a sandwich to an omelette or beans and egg. That way I don't have to syn the sweet potato!

ill look at doing a red day another day this week!

Well I'm still 100% on track so really hoping for good results on Friday! I have been for coffee at a friends today and had a homemade muffin that she cooked, but it was only small and my little boy helped me with it. I'll syn it 8 I think, and I think even that is generous! It was dairy free so no butter was used, coconut oil instead I think. My menu today is:

b: strawberries & banana & fromage frais
s: homemade plain muffin
l: tuna mayonnaise sandwich (0.5 syn for Mayo & hex b for bread) and salad. Then kiwi, strawberries and satsuma for pudding.
d: spaghetti carbonara and loads of veggies, yogurt

also hoping I'll get a few circuits done when my lunch goes down! X

Definitely sound on plan and u deserve a good loss this week xx

Thanks, i think so too. Although I had a sneaky peak on the scales this morning and am up half a pound from Friday (weigh in day) so feeling really deflated to be honest. Have not wavered from the plan at all and I've only 3 more days to go until weigh in day, so I hope it's just weekly fluctuations! I even had a seriously boring weekend. It's not really worth it if I have nothing to show for it!

hope you are doing well!

Now then u should stay away from those scales as they will only make u feel bad and may lead to going off plan xx its hard but try and stay on track xx the scales will reward u on weigh in day xx

Well, it was weigh in day today and I lost 3/4lb, which I am disappointed with. Have been 100% on plan this week, so not sure where I am going wrong! It's very frustrating, and I've been doing exercise daily so don't know what to make of it. I lost 2lb reliably every week when I did weight watcher a few years ago, the weight just fell off. Feeling very confused and like I want to give up to be honest. I know it's still a loss, but in the last 3 weeks have lost 1 & 1/4lb. It's going to take me months to get to goal at this rate....! Sorry I'll stop depressing everyone now! I'm going to give it another week being 100% on plan and see what happens next weigh in day. Then I'll decide! X
