I think as long as it doesn't have citric acid in it then it should be ok. So coke zero and dr pepper zero are ok. Although things like sprite zero will have citric acid in (I assume for the lemony flavour!) so that'll be a no go.
To be honest I don't want to lead anyone astray - I found coke zero cherry in asda but haven't found out if it's on the approved list yet or not. So if you're a stickler for the rules you might wanna check! - there - that's my disclaimer! Lol!!
Ha ha I've popped mind in the fridge and am looking forward to my afternoon fizzy treats!! I buy the cans as it's easier to ration it out to myself! Xx
So am I right in thinking anything fizzy with no citric acid in is allowed on simplicity plan?? Dont wanna mess up ketosis? I was looking at asda own cream soda is that allowed?
It's generally the citric acid that can throw people out of ketosis so as long as that's not in the ingredients you're good to go!! SnS have an approved list and although they don't condone fizzy drinks they do say they 'approve' of certain ones - no more than 500ml in a day. No citric acid. And less than 1cal. Think thems the rules
Day 4 and still feeling strong and positive I did buy a dr pepper zero today for an evening treat 1 glass how long till In ketosis could I be already or not yet? X
Some people slip into ketosis around day 4. A rare few on day 2! Lucky gits! Lol. And some - like me - take 6 days. You usually get pongy breath, possibly a funny taste in your mouth, but the main tell take sign is the, "oh wow is it 12pm already? I haven't had a pack yet!" You're suddenly not clock watching or drinking water to curb a rumbly belly!
Xx
Don't know if its known but checked out the forums three days ago and didn't see but went to asda and they have their own brand diet coke in cherry flavour and checked the ingredients and said malic acid so I suppose thats ok to drink to?
