Bacon with the fat removed is free on EE, and looking at the ingredients they don't seem to have added anything extra.. dry and crunchy, quite salty. Definitely not something I would eat regularly but just curious to see if it has a syn value.
Have you got the nutritional info? Ive googled around a bit and using this info and bacon as a Free food I get 16 syns per 100g. I dont know if that data is reliable though, as I saw a few conflicting ones but this one came closest to matching another.
Bear in mind they are very unlikely to be removing the fat from their bacon, and if its crispy its dried basically, so its like eating dried fruit etc which are not free. (As basically you can eat a vastly greater volume of them - hence more calories - once you've removed all/most of the water).

And yes good point about the dried food I suppose it would be quite high in syns then- I guessed as much! Oh well, won't be eating that again
