Hi,
I'm attempting my first DD today. Wish me luck! I haven't bought the book yet.....wanted to dip my toe in before shelling out more dough on yet another diet book. I think my biggest barrier today is going to be my husband! We might be going out for a drive and walk this afternoon and usually stop for a meal somewhere. I really want to save up my 500 calories so I can have a normal tea and a couple glasses of wine tonight. It is Saturday after all!
Like many, I've tried lots of different diets over the years with varying results. I've had a really stressful summer finishing up a PhD that went horribly wrong and gained about 1.5 stone. I had already gained a bit of weight before that too. I really don't want to start 2013 at this weight (199.5 pounds).
My studies will hopefully be all finished in a couple weeks so I'm keen to take my life back and get my weight under control. I'd love to get back down to 165 pounds, which is what I weighed about 10 years ago. Im 6'2" and am somewhat self-conscious about my height. Being overweight just makes it worse. The students in my year are getting back together mid November and I'd love to shed a few before then too!
I really hope I can stick to this! I had a go a few months back after watching the Horizon programme on IF. I just did one DD at the time and can remember it being quite challenging.
Sorry about posting in pounds. I'm from the states originally and it's all I know!
