Dreamfields Pasta a scam

I know! I ordered a diabetic meal on a plane once and there were three big potatoes and two white bread rolls in it. Unbelievable!

Absolutely. I'd like to see stuff taught in schools about diabetes management etc. It is everywhere now.

Not particularily high... but higher than I would expect from a low carb meal. Be interesting to see how it compares... will have normal pasta for tea & test the same

Over 7 pre eating is classed as diabetic... I was in the 18's when diagnosed!! Have been reading that spikes can happen 5 hours later with Dreamfields but there is only that one article when googling it.

Will continue testing every half hour today (if I have enough strips!) not sure I fancy trying real pasta tho as I'm not concerned by these results will see how I feel later.... am full tho & not feeling my usual 3 o'clock need to eat which would normally happen with a high carb lunch. x

Hmmm, so back within acceptable levels.
Vicky, non-diabetics are usually between 4 and 7 depending on their diet.
Interesting results here though.

Bloods 1 1/2 hours after 6.3 (not bad!)
Bloods 2 hours after 5.3

Have to say I'm impressed with that... usually my bloods would still be increasing 2 hours after a high carb meal. Am quite tempted to try normal just to see now... what do you think?

Wow. Did you weigh it before cooking it? What did you have with it?
The same amount of ordinary pasta would be interesting but don't put your health at risk.

56 grams is the portion size, had it with 50g green pesto. Won't affect my health by trialing it me thinks... its all for science purposes!

Oooh, perhaps I shouldnt have been so hastey in throwing my pasta in the bin the other day.

Really interested to see the difference, but as everyone says, dont risk your diet and health for the sake of us nosey people! lol!
