Hey guys, I'm going to Cornwall (Newquay) for 2 days (or 3 days and 2 nights) I'd really like some help on how best to keep on plan or minimize my gain.
We all know what Cornwall is famous for, Pasties, Ice Cream, Fish and Chips and Scones! I know Saturday I'm going shopping with a friend and we ARE planning on going to a cake shop so whats the besst cake to have? Anything without cream or something with minimum pastry? Main meals, I'm guessing we're all going to any pub near us, salads with dressings, lean steaks? If I have to eat from a fish and chip shop, I know taking the batter off a fish makes the fish free. Does anyone know the syns for cones of chips? I once heard it was 7?
I WI on a Wednesday so will weigh in on the 24th, go on the 26th and come back on the 28th. For the trip down I can do SW friendly type picnic, I'm guessing they'll be a kettle in the room for mugshots if needed.
The things I do want - Scone (so perhaps this can be my cake morning thing?) and a Cornish pasty, if I can find the steak ones.
