First day of my week off work and feel very productive, got lots done including week 4 run 3 of C25K- oh my gosh it really killed me today!

Treated myself to a lie in this morning so i've had a bigger breakfast than i would usually have, will have a light snack mid afternoon, go to WI and have my tea when I'm home. Gonna do a bit of one of the Just Dance games today! Good luck to any other Tuesday weighers :) xx

Not long home from group and I lost 2.5lbs :) was aiming for 3 so I could get my half stone award, but I'll get it next week!

Thanks everyone :) was happy with my loss and it was our taster night yesterday so i'm feeling motivated and with new ideas for things to make! should be running today but I can't carry on with my current trainers, so I'm going to a specialised running shop tomorrow to get some sorted.

What were the magic porridge pancakes like? I've seen a few things on here but have been a bit unsure whether or not to try them as the reviews seem very mixed.

I love them! To me they taste just like those ones you can buy ready made to grill- can't taste the porridge at all! Here is how i do them:

Mix 35g porridge oats with 1 mullerlite (so far i've tried a vanilla version and a toffee one) and leave in the fridge overnight.

The next day, mix in 3 eggs and a tablespoon of sweetener (or to taste) Mix really well so it's all smooth!

Spray a pan with fry light until hot, place in a metal cookie cutter and spoon in the batter- I would say mine are about 1cm thick. When you think it has set, remove the cutter and allow to cook for a couple of minutes. Flip over with a metal spatula and cook the other side. Voila! :D A good tip is to keep spraying fry light when you flip over or for each pancake..just judge how it's going!

My first one was rubbish but you get used to making them..using the above ingredients, generally that makes 8 pancakes so i share with someone :) xx

I'd just seen a few people say they were like lumpy omelettes, it put me off a bit lol!

Hiya, thanks for stopping by, a few of us North Easties here! I've tried a couple of variations for the ferreo rocher but the following way i found the nicest:

Using a food processor, blitz 8 scan bran into very fine crumbs/dust! Transfer to a bowl and add 4 level tbsp of Nutella, 1 level tbsp of Golden Syrup and 1 tbsp water. Mix ingredients well until it binds together. Spoon mixture into small muffin cases and place in the fridge for an hour or so. Get them out of the fridge, then roll into balls :)

I tried making them into balls before putting them into the fridge..a messy disaster hehe!

Good Morning!

The sun is shining up here in Newcastle, it always makes it a good start to the day :D Bit of a busy one for me today- doctors appointment for holiday injections (Noooo!) :cry:going shopping for some ingredients for recipes i wanna try, go to the running shop to get my new trainers sorted, do Week 5 Run 1 of C25K (Not sure if im ready yet, eek!) seeing some friends and making some meals to freeze.
Kind of panicking about tomorrow..I have a full day out with friends which is ice skating in the afternoon at Whitley Bay and cinema in the evening. Between the 2, they want to have tea out and have decided on Pizza Hut :eek: help?! I don't like spicy stuff so the chilli pasta twists are out of the window and pizza syns are just horrific. Bugger!!

Hi Hun,

Pizza hut can be done slimming world style, if you dont like the chilli pasta I would suggest getting salad which is refillable and there are loads of syn free stuff salad lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, sweetcorn, carrot, beetroot, pickled onions, tomato based pasta sauce, gherkins, and loads more from what I remember. There is stuff to add that you can be carefull with like potato salad, coleslaw,dressings. Its my kinda thing, of if you wanted to choose a main dish you get free salad with it. I think they have lower calorie pizza's now (you could share with your friend) Main thing, ENJOY whatever you have and have a lovely time :) do you have a recipe for those chickpea dahl bites?? Look good! xx
 
Thanks hun :) I'm gonna have a look on the Pizza Hut website later and see what they have to offer! Wouldn't mind using a couple of days worth of syns if I could find a nice pasta or anything, we shall see! Will deffo be having salad too.

Chickpea dahl bites are so yummy :)

Make up 1 packet of bachelors savoury rice as directed (I used mild curry flavour) and add 1 tin on chickpea dahl. Some morrisons stock one made by Sundar- my local one doesn't so I use Asda's own brand. Add 3 eggs and mix well. Spoon the mixture into muffin cases and bake until set. Give them a go- all completely free too! Xx
 
Oh I shall try them hun, thanks for the recipe, I actually have some chickpea dahl in the cupboard. Oh yes save some syns for your pizza hut meal, also you will be doing plenty of body magic ice skating :) not been skating in years!!

Watching Too Fat for Fifteen atm- shows like this always make me cry! Not sure if anyone else watches..it follows the journeys of teenagers at Wellspring Acadamy in America..at the same time though, they're good self motivators.

My last weekday off today boohoo, back to work Monday! Going for a run in an hour or so down the coast and also 2 hours of ice skating later- I love it :D
