This is a recipe I make quite a lot which is yummy, low in syns and so filling-for anyone who doesnt like tofu, try it in this, its lovely
100g Pork mince 1/2 syn for less than 6% fat (will also work with turkey mince which would be even lower in syns)
onion
Silken Tofu (i use the firm one)
1 or 2 x tsp of chilli bean sauce (5 cals per tsp) - I get this from chinese supermarket, less than £2 for a jar and lasts for ages
1 x tbsp oyster sauce (0.5 syn)
Dry fry the mince, onion & mushrooms. Add the chilli bean sauce and oyster sauce, stir
until meat is cooked, add enough water to create as much sauce as wanted. Bring to boil and add tofu (I cut this into cubes first). Stir gently-the tofu will break down in places but this is ok, check seasoning. To thicken sauce, cornflour/water can be added or just reduce slightly to desired consistency.
I serve with boiled rice and steamed broccoli.
Enjoy!
