Moonlights' (temporary) Maintenance

It's not much fun I have to say. Working with doctors to try and get my levels back up right now. I'm currently 0.6 of a haemoglobin level above being sent for a blood transfusion.

Today's food:

100g bacon
Mushrooms

Tbs toasted almonds
10g peanut butter
Cream

3 chicken thighs
150g celeriac chips

28g carbs, including my meds, according to mfp.

Didn't really enjoy the chicken - think I'll stick to my usual preference of skinless chicken breasts. Celeriac chips were amazeballs. Never had them, didn't think I'd like them but once they're cooked they're like little parsnip bits really. Glad I tried them.

Need a bit more veg tomorrow but was too sleepy to manage it today.

gees, need to get my finger out and give blood !
diet out the window,so need to get back to something next week !

My diet has been out of the window for ages until now! Put back on a stone!

Today's food:

100g streaky bacon

Spoonful peanut butter
(not induction I know but I'm ok with peanuts and was all I could grab)

Pork chop
Cauliflower breadsticks
100g diced cauli
1 egg
100g mozzarella
30g cheddar
Garlic salt

2 creamy teas.

So with carbs from meds MFP has me at 28g

Breadsticks recipe from the lighter side of low carb. Tasty! Not really like bread but not omelettey either and enjoyable to eat. Have two extra in the fridge for a quick breakfast tomorrow - would make a good portable lunch, too.

(it's a small side plate so don't imagine they're too giant).

Caught up on veggies today. A bit too much, really.

Today:

Just tea in the morning. Had some energy for once and sometimes eating saps it.

Roast chicken & lovely crispy skin
200g celeriac
Spoonful cabbage and leek
1/2 a courgette

80g strawbs and cream

100g bacon
2 cauliflower bread sticks

So with my meds that puts me just over my 30g for the day.

Sounds yummy. My rule is not to get too paranoid about veggie carbs - still waiting to meet someone who has stalled on veggies;)
Xx

Sounds like a good rule, Katie!

Today:

Left over roast chicken with mayo and salad leaves
50g celeriac

100g bacon

300g cauliflower
60g garlic and herb Philly
Bitof butter

Tea with unsweetened alpro.

Approx 28g carbs including meds

Today was a bit of a mess. Woke up late, no time to eat anything till about 3 and now I need a nap so will eat dinner late.

Today:

30g Milano salami

Tea with alpro

Planned for later:

Rump steak
Portobello mushroom
Poached egg

Rhubarb and cream

Might have a nibble on some cheese to keep fat/calories up. Shall update later.

Love love Rhubarb yes. I boil it up with a couple of splenda tabs.

Well here's what my day ended up as

30g Milano salami

250g rump steak (wasn't nice)
2 portobello mushrooms (lovely)

200g rhubarb and cream

30g cheddar
30g peanut butter

Carbs Inc meds: 22

Was under on fat and protein though.

No idea what I'm eating tomorrow. I usually try to plan it out but today's been all over the place.

It is my weigh in day though...

7 days on this and I feel I've been eating really cleanly. I want to try and hold off on additions like flax, bars etc if I can and see how things go.

Hi moonlight, how was your WI. Been waiting anxiously x

Sorry it's late - utterly lacking in energy today so trapped in bed. Haven't managed to eat yet either.

WI done though: 7lbs lost!

Yaaay and that takes me into the 13s, as I'm now 13st 13lbs.

Of course it all slows down now (when will someone invent a diet where you get the first week's loss all the way though) and I often have a slow 2nd week but fingers crossed. Am happy anyway!

Rough food plans today include bacon, mushrooms and chicken marinated in soy sauce.

hay well done....
the only time i had weight loss like that was when i did lighter life/and cambridge.

Yes, I couldn't do a VLCD with my meds and the osteoporosis etc I don't think.

Ultimately they're probably not wonderful for your health anyway, but I am jealous of the stone a month losses.
