Hi all, I know wholemeal bagels and pitta (except WW pitta) can't be used as a HexB, but can we deduct 6 syns and just syn the rest?
The book says '60g of ANY wholemeal bread' so I wondered if the reason wholemeal bagels and pitta aren't listed is because they are bigger and hold extra calories- could someone let me know if I could minus 6 syns from the overall 20cal per syn rule... I.e if it were 10 syns for the wholemeal Bagel I could HexB it + 4 syns?
If not could someone let me know why it says 'ANY wholemeal bread' but WM pitta and bagels don't count? Surely they have enough fibre since they are still wholemeal... must just be because they hold extra calories (that surely we can syn!?)
Would be good to know as have been struggling to track down WW pitta (except white ones) and would love to have a wholemeal bagel
Thanks in advance.
