Approaching 40's witterings, mutterings and musings!
Well, I couldn't decide whether to post here or my blog, so decided not to decide and posted on both!
Day 2 - 66.67% there

Well, on target so far for today.
2 TFR meals down, and one to go.
Strawberry for breakfast, and Vanilla for lunch. Not a morsel of banded substance has passed my lips !
No mean feat considering I was sent to Iceland to pick up a box of Southern Fried Chicken and Garlic Mushrooms for my daughter and her Dad.
Got the oven pre-heated while I went off to buy it, then slammed it all in the oven as soon as I got back in while I decided what to have.
Given that two kids were home to eat with their Dad and they were having chicken, I thought if I tried to have chicken soup it wouldn't smell as good as what they were eating so I decided to try to make vanilla icecream.
A decent handful of ice should have been enough in my opinion. I crushed it up really tiny before shaking the powder in, but it just went all clumpy so I ended up drizzling a little water in until it stopped being clumpy and powdery.
Poured it into a bowl to finish chilling while the food-eaters meal was cooking. I was a bit gutted to find that I had about a quarter of the vanilla mush clung around the bowl of the food processor.
So, to stop temptation I made a cup of black tea, then whizzed that round the blender bowl until it resembled a white tea.
I decided that I would make sure that I drank my "white tea" 10 minutes before serving up the family meal hoping that it might take the edge off.
I am surprised that it helped. But I wasn't taking any chances, I got my 12 year old to take the forbidden stuff into the living room
I got my Vanilla mixture and one of the baby's spoons to eat it with, just so it made the experience last longer. I finished at the same time as the family, so there was no issue of looking longingly at their food as it was all gone.
I am undecided as to what to have for me tea, as I am trying to put it off for a bit longer, as I don't want to go bed with a rumbly tummy.
Thinking about chocolate mousse, or maybe hot chocolate or hot vanilla and pretend its a Horlicks.
Tomorrow is day 3, and I know from the last time, its going to be a hard 48 hours filled with tears and when I am likely to fall off the wagon.
I am going to keep weighing myself throughout the day as I know some point before Friday if I stay on track I should hit 12stone something.
If I keep seeing the weight dropping then it will make me sure that the pain is worth the gain.
After collecting my eldest from work, I spent some time down the beach throwing stones at the sea, I'd rather do that with my little boy that do stomach crunches and weights.
I will hold on for just a little bit longer for dinner and just look for some inspiration on here for tea
