Hello all, today is day one for me on Weight Watchers after half heartedly doing it for the last 6 weeks. I weighed myself on Saturday and realised that the scales have creeped up a stone since Christmas, definitely the kick up the bum I needed! So I've decided to post my daily food diary online to give myself a bit of extra determination.

Week 1 - Monday

Breakfast:
Banana - 0pp

Lunch:
Salad - 0pp
Hard boiled egg - 2pp
Kraft light honey & mustard dressing - 1pp

Dinner:
Campbell's tomato & basil cup-a-soup - 3pp
Hovis seeded batch bread x 3 - 9pp
Lurpak Spreadable - 2pp

Drinks:
Water & diet coke - 0pp

TOTAL - 17pp

I'm not sure I'll be making a habit of having too many cup-a-soups as I think 3pp is quite a lot for what they are, I was still slightly peckish after it hence the third slice of bread which I'm now regretting! Still, very pleased with today's effort, got my first spinning class tomorrow after work and as a smoker I'm slightly terrified, by all accounts it's going to kill! Wish me luck guys!

Hi guys! I've been sooo busy over the past few days so two days' worth of diary to post. I went out for a meal last night and went waaayyy over my points but I really enjoyed myself so I'm going to be positive and not beat myself up! I was under my points on Monday and Tuesday so although we're not sposed to I'm going to carry those remaining points over to cover some of last night! Also weighed in this morning, half a pound off which isn't much but given that I only started Monday and had a massive splurge last night I'm not too miffed. Going to try and have a relatively healthy weekend which will be a first, just need to cut down on the wine, 6 points per glass! gah!

2.5 glasses of wine - 15pp

TOTAL 61pp (oh my god!!!) so I was 16 under in total on mon and tues which takes me down to a total of 45pp so that's 26 dailies plus 19 weeklies, so I've got 23 weeklies left for the weekend. Haha if anyone actually followed that i'll be impressed but as long as i know myself where i'm up to it's fine. Apologies for the very long and boring post, i'll try and make the next few a bit more interesting!

Thanks Daisy! Hope yours is going well. Another 2 days to post, here goes.

Drinks:
1.5 glasses red wine - 9pp
Water & diet coke - 0pp

TOTAL: 30pp (26 dailies + 4 weeklies)

Even with the ill-advised bowl of coco pops this is the healthiest Friday I've had in ages, I usually drink at least double that amount of wine! Saturday's diary to follow...

Week 1 - Saturday

Bit of a sucky day in general yesterday, was horribly hormonal and bloated as I'd just come on, had awful cramps and a serious case of PMS. Went to the hairdressers which I'd been looking forward to all week and ended up with a horrible colour that I'm going to have to go back and get fixed. Needless to say my mood definitely affected my eating!

Breakfast:
Banana - 0pp

Lunch:
3 x Jamie Oliver fish fingers - 5pp
2 x bread roll - 6pp
Ketchup & mustard - 1pp
Lurpak - 2pp

Cheesy curls - 2pp
1/2 pot Angel Moo frozen yoghurt - 2pp

Dinner:
Cheese - 4pp
Crackers - 4pp

Drinks:
3 x red wine - 18pp

TOTAL 45pp (26 dailies + 19 weeklies)

Sooo I've got no weeklies left for today (Sunday) and I am determined to stick within my points. I've totted up the amount of pp I've used up on wine and it works out at 51pp. 51pp!! That's practically 2 full days of pp allowance! This needs to stop. I love my wine but honestly I think it's my biggest downfall, if I took all the wine pp out this week I'd still have my full amount of weeklies and then some! It's just not worth it. I know I'll have a glass today as its Sunday but I'm going to try and have just the one instead of 3 and next week/end I'm going to switch to something like gin or vodka and tonic instead. I need to break this habit I never knew how bad it was and I've actually drunk much less than I normally would as I've been trying to be good! I'm going to take this revelation as a positive though, as it seems I've cracked a good part of the reason I've gained so much weight since I moved back home, there always being wine here as my folks drink it on a nightly basis. Right. enough is enough! Adios wine, I love you but you're making me fat!

Well done on your wake up call with the wine,I think for a lot of us our weight gain is due to habits with food and drink,at least you have spotted yours and are working on changing things :0)

Yes and no about my weekend lol,no cos I've hurt my back and yes because I had the kids come and stay Friday till last night,I had the day off WW,we had ice cream cake in the evening that me and the OH had made,it was delish :0)

Haha very true with the best medicine! Ended up seeing the doc and he says it's muscle related! Not sure what happened, was bad when I got up in the morning then later I went into the kitchen to do my breakfast, felt sick and fainted! Luckily I'd called out to my OH so he caught me!

Diary Post

Week 1 - Sunday
Not as great as i'd hoped, didn't stick within my points but I didn't have as much wine as usual so there's a plus.

Breakfast:
Banana - 0pp
muller light greek style - 2pp

Lunch:
Waitrose vegetarian grill - 3pp
bread roll - 3pp
lurpak - 1pp
ketchup & mayo - 1pp

Dinner:
4 slices toast - 8pp
lurpak - 2pp
mash potatoes (what was i thinking!?) - 4pp
13 squares cadbury's fruit & nut (just looked this up and apparently it's 1pp per square! eep!!) - 13pp

Drinks:
Gin & tonic - 3pp
1.5 glasses red wine - 9pp

Total - 49pp

So altogether I went 23 pp over my total allowance including weeklies which, all in all isn't bad for a first attempt. This week I'm going to be focussing on cutting down on wine and watching my snacking. my office is one of those places that constantly has treats floating around, it's forever someone's retirement/birthday/leaving do so we are constantly bombarded with cakes, cookies, chocolates etc so this week i'm going to try and not have any and also instead of throwing together a crappy salad in the morning before work that looks completely boring and unappetising and that i then don't want to eat and end up snacking on crisps etc i'm going to start preparing meals the night before and putting a bit more effort in and then i can still eat healthily and not reach for the treats. This food diary is one of the best things i've ever done with regards to dieting as i'm suddently seeing new patterns and noticing where a lot of my calories/points are going, which means i can start changing them! ahh i'm rambling now but i'm just finally feeling really positive about losing weight finally!
