Katy's lean and clean lifestyle change

Hey to anyone reading!


I wont bore you with all the details of my weight issues, but basically I've tried every kind of 'diet' from weight watchers, to detoxing, to cambridge and slimming world.. Or even making my own up! Ive managed a few weeks at most on most diets and never got to my ultimate weight goal or body shape.

Its time for a change, I dont want to keep on going round this vicious cycle of binging then starving, its unhealthy and it doesnt work! My metabolism is messed up and a lose weight very slowly.

Ive decided to follow the lean and clean plan, I am not doing this as a 'diet' its a lifestyle change and hopefully a better relationship with food.

The idea of this is to eat organic, naturally sourced produce, eggs, meat, fish, veg and a little fruit. Carbs are minimal but sweet potato, quinoa etc replaces white carbs and potatoes. Once a week there is a cheat meal allowed, you can have any meal you like but you're asked to sit, concentrate and savour every mouthful! Something I rarely do! I wolf my food down and then feel unsatisfied, guilty and bloated.

I have a hol in 6 weeks to Cancun then a month after a hol to Ibiza! I am well aware I wont be at goal for either but I will be closer than I have been or would be!

I'll be posting daily with pics of my meals, how my journey is going and hoping to get some support! Xx
 
So... Ive eaten more than I usually would, not been hungry at all!

Food has been:
Lean and clean wholewheat pancakes with bluberries and manuka honey

Snack: 100g chicken and 1/4 avocado

Lunch: cottage cheese and salad

Snack: 100g chicken and 1/2 cucumber

Lamb cutlet and green beans, asparagus and brocolli.

Drank 2litres of water so far another litre to go!

Exercise: 2hr hike around Ashridge Estate and 30 day shred
 
Food for today:

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs

Snack: 1/4 avocado an chicken 100g

Lunch: cottage cheese and salad

Snack: pine nuts and 100g chicken

Dinner: creamed coconut prawns with veg and sweet potato.

Felt a little hungry yesterday evening, keep craving something sweet in the evenings!
 
Food pics: the dinner doesnt look that good but omg tastes amazing! Didnt have sweet potato left so ive added more veg!

Feeling hungry today! Gonna keep myself occupied this evening x

Today has been a very busy day at work.. We hada staff lunch which I swiftly avoided completely

Food for today:

Bfast: lean and clean pancakes with strawberries

Snack: brazil nuts and 50g chicken

Lunch: crayfish and cottage cheese salad

Snack: 50g chicken and peppers

Dinner: courettes, tomato, mushrooms with 1/2 a 3egg, spinch and cottage cheese omelette

Feeling good :) and feel a lot less bloated!

Work mate made a comment 'it wont last' (my new way of eating).. More reason to prove her wrong i guess! Xx

That's the spirit although its annoying sometime it's good motivation. I'm usually so secretive with diets but now I'm on SW I've told everyone as I don't want to seem like a failure as before keeping it a secret all I've really done is fail myself :) x

Well she was being nosey asking why im not eating while everyone is so i felt it was unavoidable and had to say... So i just said theres nothing on the spread for my eating plan as its no suger/carb/ processed.. Then she started going in about how 'those diets' never work and il be back to eating that stuff in a week! So like u said i am determined to prove her wrong lol.

Thats good hun, i see what u mean and that way ul feel more motivated for people to see ur weightloss! How u finding it? My friends lost 2 stone on SW and she looks amazing! Xx
 
My friend has done clean eating and she also looks amazing she's so toned her hair nails akin everything is lush it just doesn't practically fit in with my lifestyle though as she has given up drink and everything. Had really gd 1st wk but not been on this week as was meant to be goin back home but freaked out didn't end up going an binged :/ so back on it this week xx

Yeh its a big commitment and dont think il be able to stick religiously to it as i still wanna drink and go out enjoy myself. Well least u got urself back on it hun, well done :) xx
 
Still sticking to plan.. Went to zumba intense tonight! I love it! Wish i could commit to more days but work is crazy at the moment.

Looking forward to WI on sunday! For the official weight but may also have a sneak peak tomorrow too! X
