    Yes, I've always done CC. It's taken me over two years, but that's no bad thing as I don't have the excess skin that you get with large weight loss if you do it quickly. Also I don't exercise, so that's maybe slowed me down a little! It's just a way of life for me now. How about you, have you always been a calorie counter? xx

    hey errr well August time I was basically overweight felt pretty crap about myself my horse was off work so I wasn't riding eating lost of crap.. pizza, cheesy chips, drinking alot of red bull.. I started walking with my other half well kind of climbing steap hills!! was losing weight and eating better with the darker nights coming I joined a gym!! never set foot in a gym before!! Ive not lost 2st and 1 pound am 8 and a 1/2 stone now just aiming to maintain!! ive gone from a size 12 to a size 8 yesterday I bought my 1st size 8 jeans yesterday since I was about 19!! am 34 btw am kind of abit addicted to the gym now!! I go spinning about 4 times a week as well as doing body pump, body combat, super circuits and hips bums and tums!

    Slow and steady wins the race. It's a shame I can't follow this principle myself. I've done all sorts of things to lose weight. It's funny but I lost 50 pounds between 2001-2004 and didn't really do anything special. Can't even recall the approach I used. I was so focused on my degree that weight loss was a consequence. It really does show the psychology aspect of eating behavior. Anyway maintained up to 2009 give or take a few pounds. I think I was happy and not made a conscious effort either to lose the remainder 50 pounds. I started gaining between 2009 and this year, about 20 pounds and it scared me. However the last few years I've tried to tackle it head on with no success and had some health issues.

    The last 3 weeks I've done cd but it's not for me as I felt ill all the time. I'm back to CC and trying to work with what I've lost and the benefits from the last 3 weeks. Trying to look forward and not back.....

    Good for you, Steff! Things have changed around for you, it's great. Other than wearing smaller clothes, do you find your styles have changed?

    dont think so much my styles have changed slight drama litrally emergency jeans were bought the other day everything was falling off me without serious beltage!! which is good but a pain in the arse around christmas time!! and well that is it!! no more me pressies till after christmas!! I have a reasonable summer wardrobe down to that I recently went on holiday.. for the family christmas party on saturday have a size 10 dress that I last wore in 2011 and now actually looks better now than the last time I wore it!! I still need to tone my belly abit and am still slightly gobsmacked that am really a size 8 my jeans I bought dont fall down but despite me still thinking I have a belly can pull them down without undoing buttons.. after the family party planning to try a spin double!! errr can always stop if I puke or it's too much!!

    My style has changed a bit but I think it is to do with confidence and feeling/looking better. I'm going away next weekend and tried on some dresses I've had for a while. One of them is a bit snug but in January didn't do up at all.
