    Hi all!


    I'm new here and new to CD. 1st day today, starting on Sole Source. First thoughts are not too bad, really hungry but to be expected! I have 5st to lose to get to my target of 10st . I really hope I get a good first week loss to spur me on, I'm more motivated then I've ever been before! ot a fan of the chocolate orange shakes although the others seem to be going down a treat.

    I'm looking forward to when Ketosis kicks in because I can see this hunger lark being a big battle. But I have to keep telling myself that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels! I may never be skinny, but I can be healthy

    Anyway, if anyone has any tips for getting through this first week, all comments appreciated!

    Hi,
    I'm currently on Day 12 and I am doing good so far, 100%. My first week wasn't too bad until I got to Day 4-6, when I think Ketosis set in. I felt bloated and headaches but I took 2 Co- codamol and the pain went. I lost 7lbs in my first week and my next weigh in is on Monday. Today so far I have had a Lemon bar and going to have my Vegetable soup at 4.30pm and then my last shake (Chocolate Mint HOT) at Midnight tonight as I am on nights at work. Drink plenty of water and stick to the shakes and you will see a great result in your 1st weigh in. My work mates have been commenting on my weight loss already and that gives me more motivation. Hope you are doing well and you will be 10st in no time, nice to be in the same boat as other people on this diet. this forum has spurred me on a lot as well and hope to see updates on your diary

    Hey! Thanks for all of that very helpful and congratulations on your weight loss, that's brilliant. Day 2 has been okay although very hungry as to be expected. Also had a bit of a dizzy spell late this afternoon which is worrying me as only 2 days in! Anyway as long as I get through the first week I'll feel like I can totally do this! No headaches yet, although not expecting to get into ketosis for another couple of days when I guess this will kick in. I agree about the forum spurring me on, it's so much more motivating when you are not the only one doing it! Also gives me an idea of what to expect! Good luck with the next couple of days before your week 2 weigh in!

    Thanx Stacey,
    If you get dizzy spells try and up your water intake as this could be why. I bought some Ketostix of Amazonand I went into Ketosis on Day 4, so hope you go into it soon. It is a tough journey but I can see results and that makes me feel better. Going to have to buy new clothes soon as the ones I have are like a tent lol. Good luck on Day 3 and I hope you get a good loss on your weigh in

    Thanks guys, day 3 has definitely been a struggle. Had a dull headache pretty much all day so trying to up the water intake and have an early night, I'm going to test to see if I'm in ketosis tomorrow. Hopefully I will be and i'll start feeling better again!

    After day 5 I started to feel better, then had a tough day on day 10 but since then it's got easier and easier. Just stick with it. X

    Hiya! This is a great place for support it really keeps you going looking at other peoples experiences. I'm only on day 4 so not the best person to give advice but so far I'd say once you get to day 3/4 it's going to be a struggle but just push through it. I feel a lot better this evening but this morning I had a horrible headache and was ready to quit! But now I'm fine and so glad I didn't! Hoping I'm in ketosis yet but I don't really feel any different.

    Can't wait for this first week to be over!

    I am expecting the first week a bit difficult, but feel motivated! Is your WI a Thursday? Are you doing any sneaky weigh ins day to day?

    How are you using the products? Standard breakfast, lunch and dinner?

    Do you think it might be worth buying some ketostix? Maybe if you know you are in ketosis, it would be more encouragement to stay on track? Think I might get some.

    If your motivated that's all you need, that's what's keeping me going. My WI is Thursday evening so I shall update on here really hard not to weigh at home but weight varies throughout the day so I don't want to get my hopes up!

    I'm just having shakes this week because I don't like porridge and I haven't heard the best things about the soups. However its all about personal taste. In the morning I have strawberry, lunch - chocolate tea - choc mint. I have my first at 8.30 second at 1.30 and last at 6. I also got some chocolate orange but it made me gag a bit so I'm swapping them. My consultant gave me two ketosis tests and I've just used one and it came up like a dark purple colour but I'm sure she said it should be salmon pink so now I'm worried im not drinking enough :/ Going to try and push that tomorrow and do the second test on Wednesday.

    I'm looking forward to you starting since we are doing it at pretty much the same time! Whats your target?

    Yeah, I think it will be good to have someone starting at a similar time. Because I am so overweight I think I will be starting on 4 packs a day and I love porridge, so really hoping its decent. I think I will try the soups, I think I will feel weird if I dont use cutlery to eat my food, know what I mean? Ha!

    I want to set myself small goals, cos to get to my "ideal' weight in one go will be soul destroying. I do like my curvy figure and want to keep my hips and bum, but want them to be toned and shapely rather than just flabby! Im not so bothered about my actual weight, but I would love to be a size 14-16 instead of a 26! I am hoping I can make a real change before the summer so I dont have to cover up from head to toe!

    have you got anything to focus on to keep you motivated and committed?

    I know what you mean about the cutlery thing, I don't know how long I'm going to last on 3 drinks a day. May venture into the soups next week. I know exactly what you mean about the small goals thing. I have small goals like getting into the next stones etc.. I'm so short my whole body is just out of proportion and I just want to feel comfortable in clothes you know?

    I guess summer in general is quite motivating, I love clothes and I'd love to be able to wear what my friends do. Tired of covering up every summer!

    Small goals is the way forward, otherwise I think you would get fed up and quit.

    I am already imagining my summer wardrobe! I just want to be in proportion too, if I could slim by bottom half down to match my top half, I think I would be happy with that! These before and after pictures are amazing! Have you seen the girl who took a picture every morning? I'm tempted!

    Oh my god no! Every morning that's such a good idea! Your consultant will take a picture for you if you want, I think ill do weekly ones. I'm going to have a look at these pics now!
