Fab at 30?

I've called this diary Fab at 30 but the fact is thats not really going to happen. I am 30 on the 3rd July this year so there's simply not enough time to shift the amount of weight I need to lose to get to a healthy weight, but I will do my best to get as much off as I can so that I feel better about myself regardless :)

Today I weighed in at 23 stone :( I started Exante this morning with a choc orange bar for breakfast, a vanilla shake for lunch and a Thai Chicken soup for dinner. I have drank 2l of water today. I am not great at drinking the water but I will be ensuring I do a minimum of 2l per day, hopefully will build up to more like 3l a day if I can.

This is my first attempt at a VLCD, SW was my thing but after my wedding I let myself pile the weigh back on :cry:and now I am in a position where I have under 8 weeks to my birthday and 21 weeks to my sisters wedding where I am a bridesmaid. So, birthday is my mini goal I guess with the wedding being the bigger goal. I was 19 stone when I got married last April so if I can get more than 4 stone off by then I will be chuffed!!
Looking forward to following all of your journeys and hopefully finding the support I desperately need if I am to make this work!!!!
 
Good luck - you'll need plently of willpower but this diet gives you fantastic results pretty quick which keeps you motivated! Look forward to following your journey x

Today was great, I loved my toffee fruit and nut bar!! Way better than the choc orange.
Strawberry shake was nice enough, preferred yesterdays vanilla, biggest success today though was the mushroom soup.
I have literally been dreading tasting it all day.
LIttle bit of salt, and garlic and its yummy!! It was ok to add salt wasn't it? I'm sure I read it in here somewhere. Big relief though :)
Oh and I am a weigh in addict, will likely weigh myself most days. I am down 3lb from yesterdays start weight :)

Well done. I'm sure you will have lost a significant amount of weight before going to Turkey. Where in Turkey are you going? I'm going to Marmaris for the first 2 weeks in September with my 2 sons and ex husband so that should be interesting :rolleyes:
 
I wrote a big reply at lunchtime then lost it in the posting!! argh!

Well Today's been a success, I had a fruit and nut bar for breakfast, a chocolate shake for lunch and veg soup for dinner and I enjoyed them all!
Just the banana shake and tomato soup to taste now!! They're the ones I'm not sure about.

Weigh in day 3 and I'm another 4lbs down, so thats 7lbs since starting! Gives you a boost and a reason to go on.
Think I'm going to have to come off plan for a couple of days at the weekend though as family will be up for mother in laws birthday and they are talking about a meal out. I am gutted for myself but I know she would feel so bad for me not coming or sitting not eating and it would literally break my heart I think as its my fave restaurant!!! All I can do is be good right up to then and right back on the wagon after.

Lynne it is Bodrum we are off to, starting to get excited :)
 
well while your at the restuarant just stick to protein and low carb veg!! dont have any potatoes or pasta or anything and then you will still stay in ketosis!!

oh and dont drink alcohol!!
 
Ooh thanks Chelly, thats exactly the kind of advice I am needing, as I'm still so new to this.

Another 3lbs off today, I know its early days and I can't count my chickens til the weekly weigh in but that's 10lb in 3 days, which can't be bad!!!
 
Oh I also forgot to say, today was Day 4 which means time to sample my last remaining flavour of shake and soup.
It was Banana shake for lunch, and it was really a lot better than I expected. Tomato and Basil soup for tea in a wee while. Fingers crossed its not as bad as I've heard :)
 
Haha, well the finger and toe crossing worked. It was ok, not disgusting. Totally edible.
 
Sounds like you are gong to have a good weigh in....well done to you
 
I really hope so shrimp. I'll give up the daily weighing after this week but its keeping me determined right now!!
 
Day 5 and I wasn't hungry this morning, I didn't eat my bar until I'd been up for 3 hours, in fact I only ate half of it, then had my shake at lunch and fancied the rest of the bar in the afternoon. Worked quite well. I am still only managing to take between 2 and 2.5 litres of water a day at the moment.

I don't know if i'm getting constipated or just needing to poop less but less is coming out each day.

Weighed today and am another 1lb down, 11lbs since Monday evening :) Pretty pleased.

My Bluray of Les Mis arrived today as well so am delighted, can't wait to watch it!
