34 days to get to size 10!

    Hello thanks for reading!

I've done Cambridge and slim&save before with success but the binger in me got the better of me lately and I an carrying more than I am comfortable with again!

I did the London marathon last Sunday and you'd think i would have lost weight training - but I managed to gain a lot instead!!!

I have a holiday at the end of May so I've just stocked up on exante products to shift the excess weight!!

I am planning to exercise quite a bit too so I will probably have an extra pack, bit of low carb veg or an extra protein shake here or there if it's needed. I know alcohol is a no no but I've barely drank all year, so I probably will have a vodka and soda or diet coke on a few occasions if I'm out.

I've also got a half marathon in May to keep me focused.

I am not going to weigh myself because it will only serve to depress me - and I'm looking for fat loss not mass loss. I think I am around 10stone7 which is more than id like to be - I'm only 5'2! I just want to fit into all of my usual clothes again - at the moment it's only elasticated ones that I'm wearing, so as to not know my size!! But my size 10 clothes are probably not going to fit me so I will save trying them on for a good few weeks.

I have another diary in silver members but I felt I should make a new one for this new challenge with the new products!

I refuse to go on holiday at this size and I will get to a size I'm happier with. Not sure it's long enough to get bikini ready but I sure hope so - I have exactly 42days eeeeek!!!!

**as I messed up during first week I restarted and renamed the diary "34 days....." As this is now how long I have!!!

    Yesterday I had

    Breakfast: apple & cinnamon porridge,

    Dinner : mushroom risotto

Evening: several vodka and diet cokes!

    Exercise: 20min walk

Not an ideal day but I still feel I've made a start.

I was going to continue my night out yesterday but a big reason I didn't was because I felt bigger than I want to be. I would have had to get changed and I knew all my going out clothes would potentially not fit or would show all my lumps and bumps!

I hope I can stick to exante. I have around 150 packs! I think I got a bit excited so stocked up from ebay!! But as I won't use them all by end of May, they should be handy to use for maintenance I hope!

    Day 2/42

I am not weighing myself I have taken a few key measurements instead:

    Hips/Bottom (at widest!) 105cm
    Waist (at narrowest) 83cm
    Waist (around belly button) 91cm
    Chest (at widest) 90.5cm
    Arm (at widest) 30cm

I will measure again - not sure whether to wait a week or longer but will see how I get on. Even measuring is quite depressing as it is accepting I am a lot bigger than I want to be! But it's ok in a few weeks things will be moving in the right direction if I stick to this!

    Day 3/43

Slept early as I was tired.

I actually feel better already - I'm still big but at least some of the bloat has subsided and I actually feel like I'm doing something about it and have a plan to tackle this!

Good luck! I struggled to run on slim & save so am doing intermittent fasting (basically 500 cals 2 or 3 days a week).

I have heard good about that. I may try it when I get closer to my goal. How long have you done it for??

Ok new ways to track progress!!:

I looked on ASOS at the measurements for a size 10 and used these as my goal:

    Hips/Bottom (at widest!) start 105cm / goal 93.5cm / left to lose 11.5cm
    Waist (at narrowest) 83 / 68 / 15

So from the above I can I need to lose over 11% off my current hips circumference and 18% off my waist. I guess that goes to prove I gain weight on my waist!

This is my first week...so far so good, but I'll let you know. I've got more to lose than you but I'm not in a hurry and I'm training for a half, so want to be able to run.

    Oh excellent - when's the half? That's exciting :-)

I want to go for a run today - I have a half I signed up for in three weeks. If I need to have an extra pack or extra low carb food I will as training and vlcds don't exactly go hand in hand and I certainly don't want to lose muscle if I can help it!!

    Keep me posted! X

Thanks. July is a good - enough time to train

I've heard New York is great - although involves an early morning 3 hour wait at the start area!

London marathon was absolutely brilliant - I loved it!!

I went out last night and had vodka and diet coke.

Today I've had egg, vegetables, tuna salad and some pitta bread. Didn't use packs as stating at friends house. Going out tonight too.. Will have packs again tomorrow / Tuesday.

I also ran 12 miles yesterday so not too worried about having a bit of carbs

I went for a picnic today and I did eat carbs.

I didn't really care at the time. But I think I should do exante more strictly from tomorrow and give myself a chance!

I justified it all as yea it's ok I'll burn it all off running etc but that's a bad attitude if I want these fast results
