Fat be-gone
Hi there this post is a little premature as i dont start my exante diet till next weds but i wanted to come on introduce myself and just have a look round to see how everyone else is getting on ect, Last year i went on a diet with Xenical and lost 5 stone, this was while my husband was out in Afghanistan and after he came back and it all came back plus more, iv now hit 300lbs and enough is enough i need to go drastic and i need to go hard, im so excited to be starting a diet again and really looking forward to seeing how exante is going to work for me, i plan to go on TS for about 6-8 months then move to TW for 2 months then onto SS to get me back onto normal foods, im hoping in that year i will drop down from 300lbs to 145lbs which will give me my BMI of 24, I dont know how other go about telling others about being on this diet but the only people that know is my husband and my sister, i really dont want to be telling people about it and then getting the face, im sure you know it, the face thats says... your seriously living off 600kcals a day.. id be like yes at 300lbs im not going to vanish over night lol

Anyway enough about the dieting side, my name is Nicola i have 3 beautiful babies jamie who is 9, cieran 8 and dominic 4, like i said before im married and my husband in the army, we live in the UK Dorset which is a beautiful part of the country,

right im now going to leave my post here and ill reply as and if people come on in but i will be back on next Wednesday night to let all how my 1st day went,

1 question i have, do i need to do anything to prepare for starting the diet, i have my ketone sticks and my shaker (as im going for the milkshake bumper pack) i have a 5ltr bottle ready for my daily water intake but is there anything before i should do, ?

cant wait to get this going and shedding this weight once and for all and hopefully meet some lovely ppl along the way

Hiya and welcome!

I can't reply properly because I'm on my phone, but if you start off by reducing the amount of carbs you're eating now that will help you when you start the diet. Carb withdrawal is a killer!

You sound very determined, I'm sure you'll be great!

Hello, I've bought my first pack off eBay today and hoping to stick to it with no hiccups, after the first pack is gone hopefully it'll give me a better understanding into whether this is the right diet for me.

Do you have 3 meals a day or 2 and a "proper" meal? I've bought only soups so I was thinking of having porridge for breakfast along with the meal replacements for lunch and dinner.

You've gotto have all three packs so you've definitely got all your nutrients and stuff. It can make you unwell and affect weight loss if you chance it on two. Good luck to both of you starting I'm sure you'll do brilliantly! Nicola, as for preparing I recommend stocking up on some cans of coke zero. Those got me through the first few weeks, because if you're anything like me you'll get sick of water and want some sort of sweet treat. Coke zero normally hits the spot for me :)
Lucy xx

Im on the TS so yes 3 shakes a day with as much weight i need to shift theres no way i could put a meal in there aswell, i cant wait

Lucydee do you post weekly vids on youtube? if so iv been watching them i actually commented on your last 1 under nicola allard, looking forward to your next vid your doing so well and thanks for the coke zero hint, when i lost the 5st back in 2010 that was one thing i had every day a can of coke seeing as it was just a healthy diet and exercise diet it was just regular but im sure the zero after having nothing but water will be just as good, maybe even better, im getting so excited iv now cut down on my carbs which im hope will help with the carb cravings iv heard they suck, roll on weds,

thanks hun yeah I totally can't wait wish I got paid sooner I suppose this build up to weds could be good though, and yes you could be I don't think there are many army camps about dorset, we live in blandford, love it here

Ha, that's me alright! Bit embarrassing. Thanks for commenting though, makes me feel less like I sit there talking to myself! I'm excited for you getting started, you definitely seem like you're prepared :) xx

diem that is close how strange :) Lucy nah don't feel embarrassed hun I wish I had the guts to do a weekly vid, it will Defo keep you on track and your Defo not talking to yourself I'm watching :) xx

Love your vids, Lucy! You can really see a dramatic difference already! You're a beautiful girl, and you're just going to keep on getting more beautiful. You lucky thing!

Watched your vids last night, really inspiring! I think your really brave, please keep doing them, your looking fab!

Whoop, 4 days to go till my packs arrive, iv already cut out 90% of carbs and started on the water so it isnt such a shock when weds arrives, so exciting

Being confidant as you are you will be fine. I started around the same weight you are a year ago and I have lost 7st so far. You can do it and ill be cheering you on. I would suggest the bars though if have a hankering for something to chew. I use a blender for my shakes and add ice and make a ice cream texture. There are tons of ideas for changing the flavour too! If you struggle in this first week its not going to hurt if you have a small salad (i use vinegar for dressing) or a bite of very low fat meat. It's better then feeling desperate and the crashing and eating carbs. It's a big change for your body so go easy on it. Good luck and if you want any hints I'm always around.

Thankyou so much for your reply hunny, ill look forward to seeing you popping in, i think it helps when u know people are keeping an eye on ur progress, well done on your 7st loss thats amazing, and really nice to see where i could be a year down the line, cannot wait for tomorrow to order my packs, then Wednesday ill be on it like i use to be on cakes :) hehe, thanks again hun and thankyou for the tips about ice in them, i tend to eat alot of ice cubes when i diet as i found the crunch really helps and keeps my mind off anything else, have been given the idea to make coke zero ice cubes and its gives a real kick so ill defo be doing that a fizz is my weakness, so exciting :)

Ok so iv ordered my pack but changed my mind on which to go for, i was going to go for just the shakes but seeing hints and tips about how you can use the bars with the shakes for different textures ect, iv gone with the shakes and bars, i also got a shaker bottle and some orange water flavoring, so its paid for now just waiting on it to arrive tomorrow :)

well they had all 3 for £10 but i wasn't sure if id like it at all so went for the safe option and just picked orange, see how i like it, i like the idea of making ice pops with it, yeah i read the shakes and bars together in one of the sticky, ill have to have another look to make sure i get it right, sounds strange but if its something to change things up it wont hurt to try, and omg i know 1 day, the last week iv been so good keeping my carbs down but today knowing my food intake is coming to a drastic halt, im being a little naughty, not over stupid but iv got myself a nice bottle of wine and a bar of choc to sit and enjoy tonight, i just want tomorrow to hurry up now :)

i have noticed sabotagers already saying, dont start till the weekend but if i do that ill put on more weight, therefore having to lose more, no they can stick it, tomorrow has been the day iv said and tomorrow is the day its staying at

My problem is trying to get the soup right, it's either lumpy or frothy. At lunch today I had my first successful soup by pouring cold water into a cup of the soup and making it into a paste, then topping up with hot water.

Hopefully I'll see a difference in the next few days :)

Well thats my 4ltrs of water sat chilling in the fridge, ready for tomorrow, i just hope the delivery aint to late in the day other wise im gonna be hungry for a while, im sure it will be fine on the delivery details it says before 12 so hope there right,
