    Newbie after tips !

    Morning all
A friend has pointed me in the direction of the juddd diet it sounds great , I've ordered the book which should arrive next week and I can't wait to read and get started !
I am a mum of 3 normally do Ww but I still have just under 2 stone to lose and want it gone ! Juddd sounds like it could be great for fitting in festive parties and social events .

For anyone who has lost 2 stone how long has it taken?

What's the best approach for me to take In regards to up and down days?
    My weekends normally
Friday like some wine after tea
    Saturday takeaway and more wine
    Sunday nice roast dinner
So i guess from speaking to my friend I could pick 2 of those days as up days and have to give up one of them ?

Anyone manage a roast on a DD?

Also I am very much a family meal person as in I like to cook fresh meals and us all to eat together , I'm concious on DD I dont really want kids to think mummy isn't eating as that's not something I want them to think is ok.
Do you think it's still possible to sit and eat family meals on a DD
What I was thinking was maybe eat the protein and veg part of meals and not the carb part ?

I look forward to getting to know you all , never used this website before so shall read through some posts Aswell

Ive lost two stone, took me 13 weeks, but I've got a lot to lose, could be longer or shorter depending on how far from goal you are (I started at 20 stone)

I like my weekends as well! I attached a photo of my schedule as it makes more sense drawn out. As you can see I do 3 downs a week, I fully fast on my downs and just eat on ups, I don't count but I'm careful not to binge too often. I get Friday night, sat all day and Sunday breakfast and lunch, which I love. I did start doing mon/wed/fri but was really annoyed that I couldn't eat on friday night lol xx

Oh thanks for that i like the way you split your days like that !
When you say fully fast you mean literally don't eat atall?
Your approach would mean having a nice Friday tea and wine , Saturday Chinese / chicken kebab more wine lol and a Sunday roast lunch sounds good to me

I think that depends on how you view your weigh-in. For some people it's very disappointing not to see the numbers move down quickly, the weight on the scales means everything. For others, the non scale victories (NSV) are more important. If you don't lose weight but your clothes are fitting better who care's what the scales say!

    Welcome btw xx

On my fast "days" I have about 3 or 4 cups of tea, and sugar free squash. I find it easier to just not eat at all, then there's no counting and I just get on with it. I know it's not for everyone though.

You could give yourself your down day allowance for each fast period, like have your 500 cals on the pink squares, 200 for Sunday evening, 100 for Monday breakfast and 200 for Monday lunch. If that makes sense.

The way I see it is the shift means I sacrifice Sunday evening (I only eat out of boredom then anyway!) and in return I get Friday evening, hurrah!

Doesn't matter as long as you stay to the same weigh in day every week.

I weigh every day but my official weigh in is on Friday

This is an important point too, the nsvs outweigh (lol) the scales every single time. Check out my thread (Hannah's way) I've posted pics of my progress so far. I've dropped 2 stone but honestly feel like I'm about a stone lighter than I should be!!! Nothing fits me anymore lol. Bought a pair of trousers 2 weeks ago and they no longer fit!! Xx
