Difficult To Dress Body Shapes

PrincessSparklePants

Little Miss Christmas
Does anyone else have a shape that's 'out of the ordinary' especially whilst plus size that they find difficult to dress?

I've no idea what I am in the conventional sense. I guess I'm a top heavy hour glass(!) because of my boobs and waist that goes in much smaller than it should, but I can't be sure.

I'm 5ft 9 with boobs that are only three inches smaller than the 69" that I am tall. On top of that I have a long body too.

Tops are a nightmare for me, because they need to go over my boobs, over the long body - and still be long enough for me to feel comfortable enough to leave the house in. Trousers aren't far behind as I need a good belt as what fits my waist will not fit my hips(!) but I know most people have that issue :)

Blah, I hate shopping :p:8855: I want so badly to grow to love it though and to have a good wardrobe of clothing where I can buy from any shop if I want to - not just Evans/Yours Clothing/Second hand ebay bits. Fed up of only having three places I can buy clothes from!

This is the only place I can rant where people understand and in some cases have the same problem. It's really quite cathartic!

I know exactly how you feel I can only ever shop in Evans when in the high street and also use simply be/yours and eBay. It's depressing. Xx

I always feel like I have an odd shape, I have a short body, not much space between boobage and hipage, I'm a 16 on top but not shirts as I'm a 20 if I don't want to gape, I'm an 18 I would say for may waist and 20 for my hips really frustrating..... I'm into dresses at the minute worn with think tights but when it warms up some more I'll be wearing the linen trousers dresses and bare legs not for me.

I'm totally with you on the shirts. I *cannot* wear them full stop as the evans ones just do not take into account room for boobs!

I have an odd body shape. Dresses are a nightmare and quite upsetting sometimes.

Im an 18 waist down and 22 up top. However, I am a 42b...that is the nightmare...trying to find larger clothes that cater for smaller busts.

Lady in Evans even drew a blank.

The amount of dresses I have sent back because the minute I lean over they gape is rediculous.

Looking forward to having a smaller frame soon.

I have found Scarlett And Jo to be quite helpful though they do account for boobage on bigger ladies :( The main website is here: https://www.scarlettandjo.com but they do also sell bits through yours, evans and simply be too. If you do sign up be prepared for LOTS of emails though - like LOTS! I have 33 from them since March 11th - that was only 29 days ago!

I don't want to unsubscribe though as they do have a lot of offers - on NYE I spent £100 in their clearance January sale and got 8 bits of clothing, one of which was apparently £69 when first brought out so I'd like to keep aware of the extra bonuses/offers (they do have lots of offers on a weekly basis like 24 dresses for £24)

I also struggle with being a top heavy hour glass so that's how I found them - my boobs are obnoxiously big and make me look even bigger than I am - they achieve a lot of attention that's definitely unwanted and I struggle to get an actual bra size as my little town doesn't have anywhere other than Yours that measures large breasted people and I admit I have heard bad things about their measuring ways so I haven't gone in yet. The lady in M and S wouldn't do it here as they clearly don't sell my size so say it would be a waste of time!!

I'm short in the leg but tall in the body (and 5ft 9" like the original poster so I have to wear dresses as tops to cover all lumps and bumps.
