    2014 diary

    So im back again! Did Cambridge in 2012 getting down to 10st from 13.2 but am gutted that I'm back up to 12.6 again . I've been fadding around jumping from one thing to another without success so have decided to jump back on to a VCLD as I know it works and I know I can do it - once I'm over the initial bit!

    I'm planning to start on Thursday and my first target is 7 weeks when I am away for 4 days so hopefully I could be around 2 stone off by then.
    Thought I'd post on here but I can't quite remember how it works so will see where this ends up!!

    Yes I am quite excited now - had a complete pig out day - no cutting carbs for me but that is what I have done in the past so I know I can do it. Got family coming for dinner tonight then day 1. I have had a few restarts over last few months - even getting to 2 weeks so I need to really focus until I am in deep ketosis - think 3 weeks. Thinking that with the threat of a bikini in 7 weeks time I will be able to stick to it - I looked at photos from 2 years ago when I got to target and the difference is huge. Even though I won't get down to that weight in 7 weeks I am thinking I can get rid of hopefully the best part of 2 stone in that time. Taking it one day at a time, having a diary and coming on here a lot really helped me last time. Although working in a cafe that is renowned for its cakes this time around is tough it is nibbling on bits & pieces has got me back to this weight.....

    Well day 1 today has been ok - headache - not surprising as I had a lots of carbs yesterday. Weigh in a bit of a shock this morning but downwards from here. Feeling pretty weary - done 12500 steps today and that's just a normal day at work - I should be a size 8 really!

    On to day 2 - looking forward to ketosis arriving swiftly.

    Ahhh, well done on your 1st day and boo to the headache but hopefully you're over the worst of it now. And yes... who does actually cut carbs beforehand? I know I'm in the "eat all of the carbs, all of them" camp in the days preceeding a diet! Good luck with day 2!

    Thanks to the visitors and your friendly encouragement. Day 2 nearly done - tried 2 different flavours - orange and mango and rhubarb & custard - both ok - preferred the orange & mango one. I normally have mine hot and stick mainly to chocolate and vanilla which I make into a latte. I always buy other ones like caramel and toffee and then have to make myself have them !!

    Day 2 been ok - pretty tired - did a Pilates class this morning which I wouldn't normally do but I have 2 classes left in the course that need using by Tuesday so one today and one Monday. Thought if absolutely necc I will have 5 shakes today if I need to to get me through as I've done 15000 not including the class. Ok so far but it's good to think I can have another one if I need.

    Thinking tomorrow will be tough - 9 hr shift in cafe with gorgeous food, salads and amazing cakes all day - need to remember the thought if going on the beach in 7 weeks xx

    Day 3 survived - pleased with this as was expecting it to be super hard but was ok - strategically timed coke zero dug me out of a hole. Didn't bring home any of the cakes that were on offer today as knew it would be me that would be tempted. Happy to be ticking off days - wishing the time away until 2-3 weeks in tho - patience patience!

    You are doing well, I have been doing lots of cake baking for my husbands birthday but not a crumb has been eaten by me. Must stay on the straight and narrow.

    It does indeed. For some reason when I do this diet I just don't feel like eating any other food. It is as if I zone it all out seeing as it is out of bounds. I have to remind myself to have all the packs too which is most strange!

    Wow you lucky - I never forget or have to make myself have shakes! I wish! Today have had to do baking at home - been ok but have had some cheese - I always count this as being ok as doesn't affect ketosis- was couple hours ago and been fine since.

    Dangerous head thoughts though -

    I've got so far to go,
    what's the point i won't stick to it
    Why can't i just eat normally
    I should just do a 4:3 fasting thing would be more realistic
    Just a little bit won't hurt
    You look fine at the mo
    7 weeks is ages away
    How odd/crazy not to eat with family
    You keep trying this and get nowhere so what's different this time

    On and on it goes in my head!! I sound like a crazy woman I know but I thought writing some of it down might help....

    Like you I got down to 10 stone on Cambridge, and like you I have put some of the weight back on

    I have been struggling to get back on track for a long time and for the past few years I have been gaining a losing the same 7 -10 lbs. I keep trying to get back on the VLCD wagon.

    I know it's tricky isn't it - 7-10lbs sounds manageable tho. I've got 2 stone eek - but not gone back up to starting weight but high enough. I would more ask how you've managed to keep it so low!

    So day 5 survived - no cheese so that's good. Also managed a hardcore Pilates class so pleased with the day. Taking one day at a time and trying not to focus on either how far I need to go or the potential things in next couple of weeks that may mean I come off - eg niece coming over from USA to stay for 2 nights & not seen her for couple of years, mother in law joining us on one of the 2 nights & wants to go to restaurant - I am not strong enough to sit there with water and think I look weird if I do!!! Anyway that's not for a week or so so I don't need to worry yet.
