Hi this is day 8 of slim and save. I must be well into ketosis. Day 4-6 I was not hungry at all... But yesterday and today I have been so hungry and craving food. I feel really upset. I feel like if this continues tommorow I will cheat and go on a food binge for sure. Why is this happening? And I don't think it's just head hunger, I actually feel like I'm craving food :'(
Hi... Well done for getting to day 8! The first week is by far the worst! To get me through the first week and beyond I think to myself that the first week u lose all the water etc from your body and then after that u go into pure fat!! So if u carry on and don't cheat ull be melting away the fat....

So don't do it... Stay strong n keep yourself busy... Look at inspirational photos and don't give in
Good luck x x x
I know the general consensus is that ketosis stops you being hungry but this isn't strictly true- you are hungry (e.g. not having enough calories for your needs) and sometimes your body doesn't want to burn fat, it struggles to make that transition and tells you you are hungry in an effort to find and easier food source than burning your fat stores. BUT- It will pass- make sure you are drinking plenty of water and try having hot drinks when you are feeling hungry. You could also make soup with your veg allowance- 200g veg makes ALOT of soup, try having the jellys we can have too and how about trying the zero noodles to bulk out your meals and help you feel fuller?
Those are all good tips. In all honesty I think it takes a good 2-3 weeks to really get into the zone. It's tricky because the initial motivation has gone but you won't have started to see the loss making a difference in clothes yet. But you will soon and it is so worth it. I've truly felt like you do and hung on by the skin of my teeth. It feels like an emergency but it isn't. This diet is tough but you won't die if you don't eat, so dig deep and you will be so glad you did. I find it helps to write down lots of mini goals and the reasons why you are doing this and then check back often.
Hi everyone. Thanks for your replies. I feel a bit better today. I think your right clinquat- I've done cd for three months before and it did take a food 3 weeks or so before I was fully in zone. I'll keep at it :D
